Hat: Cast on (48), 60 sts. Join in round, careful not to twist stitches. Place marker to show beginning of round. Ribbing: [K2, P2] rep from * to end of rnd. Work ribbing for (2"), 3"

Change to US 11 K until about (7.5"), 9" from cast on edge.
