Welcome to the historic Crighton Theatre. STAGE RIGHT is excited to bring you this production of Always…Patsy Cline. The Crighton Theatre is such a fabulous venue for the enjoyment of musical performances. The acoustics of this old theatre are relished by many of the artists that have performed here. In this theatre, the music will embrace you and your feet will start tapping or your eyes will start tearing.

Always…Patsy Cline is a tribute to the life and the exceptional talent of Patsy Cline. It is also a tribute to the relationship of Patsy and Louise Seger, a fan and friend. Patsy Cline is admired as one of the most influential female vocalists of the 20th century. Patsy died in an airplane crash near Campden, Tennessee in March 1963. Millions of her albums have sold posthumously. Louise Seger Zubuchen died at her home on Lake Conroe in Willis, Texas in October 2004. Please visit www.comfortheatre.com/htmdocs/louise.htm for a very nice article and more information about Louise. We wish that we had met her.

Mary Allen-Keating has portrayed Patsy Cline in many previous performances of Always…Patsy Cline, including a previous performance here at the Crighton Theatre. Many of you are already fans … and so are we. We are very pleased that Mary is performing this show with STAGE RIGHT. Our February 26th performance will feature Maredith Zaritski as Patsy Cline. You will remember Maredith for her roles as Lily St. Regis in Annie and as Mrs. Fezziwig in Mrs. Bob Cratchitt’s Wild Christmas Binge. Louise Seger is portrayed by Carolyn Corsano Wong. Carolyn was seen most recently as Miss Geneva Musgrave in Christmas Belles. The vision for the STAGE RIGHT production of Always…Patsy Cline comes from our Director, Jim Bingham, who has a passion for staging musical performances.

Thank you for coming. Enjoy the show.

MARY ALLEN-KEATING (Patsy Cline) is a performer in every sense of the word. She has been singing professionally for over 14 years. She holds a Masters Degree from the Uni-versity of Houston in Musical Theatre, and a BFA in Theater from Texas A&M University. She is a songwriter, scriptwriter, interactive performer, musical theatre producer, Patsy Cline im-personator, and all around engaging entertainer. Mary released a Western Swing album with The River Road Boys called “Put A Little Texas In Your Swing” in 2009. She was nominated for Best Western Swing Female performer that same year by the Academy of Western Artists, and won Best Western Swing song of the year for her original song, “Let’s Make Music In The Country.” Mary’s album is available at local Hasting’s, Rainbow Roller Rink, and online at www.MaryAllenKeating.com. This will be Mary’s 7th performance as Patsy Cline, and she is delighted to have been asked to return to the beauti-ful Crighton Theatre to perform in her favorite show once again. She has performed this role in places as far as Dublin, Ireland, and as close as Conroe, Huntsville, and Magnolia, TX. Mary is currently performing with numerous bands and musicians around the Houston area for corporate, private, & public shows. She and her husband have also started their own events company called Shoot To Kill Productions (in conjunction with Rainbow Roller Rink), that will be moving to the Conroe area this Spring. To hear her music and check on upcoming shows, please visit www.MaryAllenKeating.com.

CAROLYN CORSANO WONG (Louise Seger) is pleased to be onstage again having recently portrayed Miss Geneva in Christmas Belles. The role of Louise has been on Carolyn’s ‘bucket list’ since she saw the show over 15 years ago. Carolyn is a founding member and Artistic Director for STAGE RIGHT. She also serves as Vice President on the board of the Mont-gomery Pet Partners with her therapy dog Harley. She thanks her guys; Steve, Michael and Harley for their love and an oc-casional sloppy kiss.

MAREDITH ZARITSKI (Patsy Cline) is currently a senior at SHSU receiving a BFA in Theatre. She was last seen at STAGE RIGHT in Annie as Lily. She has also been in the 25th An-nual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Olive), Annie Get Your Gun (Winnie Tate), Noises Off (Poppy), Grease (Frenchy), and The Fantasticks (Louisa). Thank you Mom and Dad for all your love and support through the good and hard times. I love you all so very much!

BandCALEB ACKERMAN (piano) is another Conroe local who has been active in musicals since his piano teacher, Nadine Wilkinson, had him play in the pit for The Music Man at the Crighton Theatre. He performed in several musicals there and at Montgomery College and last year was chosen as music director for The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas at the Owen Theatre. Caleb plays gospel organ at Thomas Chapel United Methodist Church, and keyboards at Tree of Life Christian Church in Magnolia. He also debuted at the Renaissance Fes-tival this fall as the King’s Feast keyboardist, actor, singer, and dancer. He also plays piano bar in restaurants and has a large private piano studio.

JOHN G. ALFORD (steel guitar) In sixth grade his uncle mailed him a guitar and he cultivated a taste for rock and blues. In high school he formed a group influenced by blues, south-ern rock, and the Allman Brothers. He was involved in physics and engineering at UCLA and came to Alvin High School as a math teacher. J.G. has been at SHSU for the last 5 years. He has played country music in dance halls, honky tonks, and festivals throughout Texas. His idols include Buddy Emmons and the legends of 50s’-60s country and western swing.

JOHN CRABTREE (guitarist) is a professor of music at SHSU specializing in History of Rock and Roll and Theory. He started playing guitar at age 13 and was influenced by the ‘80s Pop and Rock music. He got his masters and doctorate in Composi-tion from LSU. John performed as guitarist for several musicals, but performing with the Buddy Holly Band several years ago intensified his interest.

FELIX GAMEZ (violinist) He debuted as the cafe violinist at the Owen Theatre in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Felix started vio-lin lessons in 5th grade and is now the Concertmaster of the Conroe High School Orchestra and a member of the Houston Youth Symphony. He earned 2nd chair in Region Orchestra and plans to attend Rice University in the Fall. Country music is relatively new to Felix, but he is very excited about the show.

ZACH KIRK (drums) was born in Massachusetts and raised in Houston, and lived in Conroe since 1994. In 4th grade he wanted to play the French Horn, but only the drums were avail-able. He played in his church youth band at age 14 and his first musical at age 17. His first Crighton Theatre musical was 1776. He has been the principal percussionist in the Conroe Symphony since 1998 and also plays at West Conroe Baptist and Mims Baptist Church. His one claim to fame was that he played a concert with Mickey Gilley.

TIM PRINCE (bassist) says his first guitar teacher was a little old lady who had a turkey farm in Oklahoma, where he was born. He played drums and string bass in 6th grade, then moved to Virginia and played in the school orchestra. In his twenties he played blue grass music back in Oklahoma on string bass, and is still performing occasionally with the same band of 30 years in Oklahoma and north Texas. He finally moved to Texas in 1988 and mentions New Grass Revival, Bill Monroe, Stanley Brothers, and the Carter Family as his influences.

StaffNICK BARFIELD (Sound Engineer) currently resides right up the road, in Montgomery. He works a full time job as an electri-cal estimator and has decide to return back to school at night, after 10 years for his electrical engineering degree. He has been seen on stage as the bartender in the Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge. He has played several different characters such as, the shy cowboy, Melvin P Thorpe’s Assistant, Governor’s bodyguard and one of the Aggie Boys, in The Best Little Whore House in Texas.
