The gratifying open-world action of Prototype returns in this sequel, promising bigger, better and bloodier eve-rything. As new protagonist Sergeant James Heller is set to discover, murdering your maker could not be tougher when your maker is Alex Mercer, anti-hero protagonist from the original game. Set 14 months after the Blacklight virus was first unleashed on New York City (now known as New York Zero, or NYZ), Prototype 2 sees the iconic city divided into three different zones (green, yellow and red) based on the level of infection.Heller, a military man, is on a tour of duty in the Middle East when he receives a worrying call from his wife back in New York, who informs him that Blackwatch (a black ops division of the US Army, tasked with containing viral outbreaks by any means necessary) forces have quarantined the area in which they live. Heller vows to return home, but when he does, it’s already too late: he finds his wife and young daughter dead. Blaming Mercer for their deaths, Heller heads into the red zone with his US Army buddies, hoping to confront and kill Mercer – or die trying. The fourth instalment in the Ghost Recon Series, Future Soldier takes combat and the technology of warfare to the next level. The game takes place in a number of locations throughout the world, including Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia and Norway. Players will go in search of the source of a “dirty bomb” (an explosive device that leaves behind radio-active materials) that has been used to eliminate another Ghost team.As a tactical shooter, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier relies on the player’s ability to keep their squad discreet, perform-ing surgical manoeuvres and staying out of enemy sight as much as possible. During the campaign (which supports a single player with AI squad mates as well as up to four-player co-op), players will make use of a host of high-tech equipment to despatch enemies and stay hid-den. Active optical camouflage covers every Ghost from head to toe, and allows them to become all but invisible to enemies. Get too close, however, and they’ll be spotted. While the player won’t directly control their squad mates, they can issue attack orders on enemies. During a fire fight, players can highlight priority targets, and outside of direct combat, up to four targets can be set to have the squad eliminate up to four enemies at the same time.The game will also include a vast multiplayer mode that the developers hope will let Future Soldier stand on its own due to its heavy use of team-based gameplay. Four objective-driven game modes are on hand, and they will all require players to co-ordinate their efforts, provide cover fire and stick together if they plan on surviving. As an example, players who are simply near a team mate who’s interacting with an objective will provide a passive bo-nus to that team mate, increasing the speed at which the interaction happens. Players will also need to keep an eye out for each other through what’s called the Intel Loop. The Loop is your key to staying in control of a game (by know-ing where your allies and enemies are) and is fed by 13 different items of equipment including a remote-controlled quad-rotor spy drone.

The game features a total roster of 84 real riders from 32 teams within the champion-ship. 12 official locations are playable, as well as three unique arenas for the Monster Energy Trick Battle Mode that will give you a chance to show off your style outside of the race environment. Players are able to partake in the MUD World Tour to experience the thrill of the race from the perspective of their favourite mo-tocross heroes, and can upload their times to an online leaderboard to see who ranks the highest.A number of technical features have been applied to the game to create a sense of realism in every race. Real bike sounds will shake your speakers while real-time terrain deformation will keep you on your toes through each turn; slipping into a fresh path created by racers ahead of you will require you to stay focused if you want to keep up speed and avoiding losing balance.



When aliens invade the Earth, leaving the cities ruined and billions dead, a saviour is needed. That’s where you come in, a cur-rently unnamed man whose wife was killed by the invaders. His daughter kidnapped, he sets out on a mission of vengeance and heroism to save his daughter and ends the lives of as many aliens as possible.Inversion is a cover-based third-person shooter, similar in many respects to Epic’s Gears of War series, but with one major differ-ence – gravity can be bent to the player’s will. Using the Gravlink, the game’s hero can manipulate gravity in concentrated pock-ets. Three settings are available: Low Grav will fire a blue projectile that explodes at its point of impact, creating a pocket of low gravity that causes cowardly enemies hiding behind cover to gently rise up into the air; High Grav does the opposite – pinning enemies to the ground as they struggle against their own body weight, suddenly four times what it just was. A final ability allows the hero to lift up objects and send them flying at enemies or buildings. The game’s destructible environment means a sniper high up in a tower is only as safe as the supporting beams beneath him.

From the wild and wacky mind of renowned Japanese developer Suda51 comes the dark, sexy, gory tale of a cheerleader with a penchant for killing zombies.Things are going well at San Romero High School, at least, they were until a zombie outbreak brought on by an evil goth sorcerer named Swan. Now, the school has to call on the talents of former student Juliet Starling who wields a heart-adorned chainsaw that she uses to slice and dice the shambling undead. Juliet uses both her weaponry and cheerleading moves to deal with the zombie hordes, and wears the still living head of her boyfriend, Nick, on her belt. When Nick was bitten by a zombie, Juliet made the quick decision to decapitate her love but didn’t leave him entirely for dead.As a tribute to all things zombie related, Lollipop Chainsaw will be filled with zombie pop references and plenty of high-speed and bizarre action that you’d expect from Suda51 and his team at Grasshopper Manufacture. The game will feature familiar and stylish action similar to that of No More Heroes, but the developers claim that it’ll be filled with extreme twists and plenty of humour.

Any RPG fans who played The Witcher 2 upon its release will tell you that it’s easily one of the greatest RPGs ever created, offering up a truly engag-ing, mature role-playing experience that’s brimming with personality.The Enhanced Edition adds major adventures set in new locations.
