On October 12, leaders from Chad’s Hope will be with us during our morning worship service sharing about their ministry and work among students battling addictions. That evening we will celebrate in the ordination of Bro. Shawn Ingram to the Gospel ministry. Then coming in three weeks, our fall revival with Dr. Bob Baker from the Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington. Each night will feature the SBC Choir and Dr. Baker’s powerful preaching. Stanford BC is on the move. We are building lots of momentum and energy in our desire to see Jesus increase in everything we do. ____________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________ From the Mailbox: I want to thank everyone for your prayers, visits, phone calls, cards, and food since I've been sick. Two Momentum Building Months

August and September have been two momentum building months.

Consider what has taken place in just the past 60 days.

Educator Sunday had a huge turn-out and wide participation from our

teachers and administrators.

Hope 53 shared about their work in orphanages in Haiti and we were

able to support them with a gracious offering.

Heritage First Priority was featured with a focused time in worship

and a gracious financial gift.

The KRATEO weekend was outstanding. Hundreds of teenagers

heard the Gospel and were strengthened in their walk with Christ.

We had His Heart in concert which drew a great group who love

Southern Gospel music.

The Church Picnic had over 200 people gathering together to

fellowship and enjoy time together.

We are taking an ever-growing Eliza Broadus Offering for KY

missions that is nearing our church goal.

Two tailgate parties at Lincoln Co. High School with over 50

attending each.

See You at the Pole which had hundreds of students and educators

praying together for God’s work in this community and around the

world.

A new projector was installed in the sanctuary adding color, sound

and media to our worship services.

Over 70 in attendance for the 2nd night of the Love & Marriage series.

I am told that this was one of the largest Sunday nights in a long time.

Wonderful trips by the Joy Club with a full bus every time.

Increased attendance in Sunday school, Sunday morning worship,

and Wednesday night activities for all ages.

And there is more to come. On October 12, leaders from Chad’s Hope

will be with us during our morning worship service sharing about their

ministry and work among students battling addictions. That evening we

will celebrate in the ordination of Bro. Shawn Ingram to the Gospel

ministry.

Then coming in three weeks, our fall revival with Dr. Bob Baker from the

Calvary Baptist Church in Lexington. Each night will feature the SBC

Choir and Dr. Baker’s powerful preaching.

Stanford BC is on the move. We are building lots of momentum and

energy in our desire to see Jesus increase in everything we do.

Musically Speaking

Stuart Underwood, Minister of Music

Thanks to Laura Lee for a beautiful offertory based on "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness". Thanks also to Phil Sebastian for filling on for Becky in her absence at the piano. The Adult Choir did a great job on their upbeat anthem. This Sunday as we celebrate the ordinance of The Lord's Supper, the Adult Choir will be singing a new anthem "Song of Remembrance". George Munday will be here and will be playing the offertory.

Have a great week! Stuart
