Ungaran Sari Garments celebrated Indonesia’s Independence

Day with various activities. Flag raising, cooking competition

and many fun games were held to enliven the independence

day celebration.

Preserving and protecting the environment is as part of our business missions. To actualize our commitment,

Ungaran Sari Garments held the ‘One Employee Two Tree Program’ on July 22nd in a vacant area near our

Congol unit. Over 75 employees have planted 125 seeds. This program is a continuation of Go Green

initiatives that previously held in another area.

The spirit and excitement of our employees in this event brought a positive impact on each team performances.

In addition, with the spirit of “Work Together” as part of our government’s missions, we encouraged our

employees to work in the spirit of togetherness in the workplace.

The use of electricity and diesel fuel per garment in

Ungaran Sari Garments decreased 14.24% from 2012

baseline to September 2017

The gas emission spent per garment in Ungaran Sari

Garments decreased 12.37% from 2012 baseline to

September 2017.

The largest percentage reduction in emission gas

spending is in Congol 16.46%, followed by Ungaran

13.07% and Pringapus 7.68%

Water Discharge: Our main operation is garments

manufacturing. We do not use water for production

process. We use water for Domestic/Toilet purposes

and canteen for cooking and cleaning.

Waste Generation: Our waste are mainly solid waste

generated from cutting waste and from office.

We work together with the nearest community to

reuse the waste into economical household part likes

mat, table cloth, doll, cloth ornament, pillow, bolsters,

etc.

Energy Savings

The largest percentage reduction in the use of electric

and diesel fuel spending is in Congol 20.42%,

Ungaran 15.24% and Pringapus 7.85%

Ungaran Sari Garments, in partnership with the Red Cross Indonesia,

organized blood donation event. Our previous blood donation event,

period July-August, successfully collected 1,129 blood bags. We actively

promote blood donation program among our employees. This time, we

got 195 new donors.

As the appreciation for participating in the blood donation events, four of

our frequent donor employees, received silver donor cards, bedges and

certificates from Red Cross Indonesia in Semarang unit.

HERProject conducted a maternity class in Congol unit. This event was

attended by 13 pregnant workers. The maternity class was led by dr.

Agustin, who talked about the healthy pregnancy, labor and birth

process, breathing and relaxation techniques, anesthesia choices,

cesarean delivery, recovery and post-partum and baby care. By

participating this event, our workers gained a lot of valuable information

about healthy pregnancy.

The following month, Peer Educators visited Integrated Health Service

(Posyandu) Post unit at Mugi Rahayu area, Ngempon Village. The visit

was aimed to participate the government program in providing vaccine

and nutritional food.
