BY THE END OF THIS COURSE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:-

Monitor how you spend your time in practice Set clear and achievable Goals Prioritise and Plan your tasks in order to make

better use of your time in achieving your goals using ‘To Do Lists’ or ‘Daily & Monthly Planners’

Organise yourself to prevent or limit interruptions

PROCRASTINATION

Ways we procrastinate :-

• Put it off until later• Do the easy tasks first• Try and contact someone when we know they wont be there

Common areas of procrastination :-

• Small or boring tasks• Large or difficult tasks• People• Phone calls• Unfamiliar tasks• Cluttered desk

GOAL SETTING

• Focus your energies on what is important

• Set out a time frame

• Motivate you

Goals tell you where you want to be and by when.

Goals need to be.

• SPECIFIC

• MEASURABLE

• ACHIEVBLE

• REALISTIC

• TIMELY

ORGANISE YOURSELFYour Work Area

• Chairs - if you really need more than one, put something on it• Desk - if its near say the vending machine, move. If you can’t move sit with your back to it• Paperwork - only have the paperwork you need to do the current task on your desk

• Have a system to let others know when not to disturb you• Use body language to fend off unwanted advances
