Dear Resident SITE INVESTIGATION NIGHT WORKS IN YOUR AREA WEDNESDAY 18 AND FRIDAY 20 NOVEMBER 2015 The CityLink Tulla Widening project involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. The project will also provide travel time savings per trip between Melbourne Airport and the West Gate Freeway during peak periods. The project will deliver a safer, more reliable freeway. Generally, an additional lane is being added in each direction, as well as upgrades at key interchanges including Bell Street, Mount Alexander Road/Flemington Road and on the Bolte Bridge to West Gate Freeway entry ramp. Leighton Contractors is the construction contractor for the Bulla Road to Power Street section of the project. The CityLink Tulla Widening project involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. When works will occurFrom 7pm Wednesday 18 to 5am Thursday 19 November and from 7pm Friday 20 to 5am Saturday 21 November 2015.

What we are doingCollecting information about underground services located in the area. This will involve:

Installing traffic management signs and bollards Cutting holes in the traffic island and footpath using a specialised vacuum truck (non-

destructive digging) to safely uncover underground pipes and services Recording the location of pipes and services Reinstating our work areas.

What to expect A small team of construction personnel at work Noise from the non-destructive digging truck when in use Traffic management personnel will direct footpath pedestrians safely around the works No vegetation will be removed as part of these works These works will not impact your property.

This work may be rescheduled in the event of unsuitable weather or other unavoidable circumstances.
