EARLY WORKS FOR THE RELOCATION OF EXISTING WATER MAIN - WORKS IN YOUR AREA TUESDAY 15 MARCH 2016

We are writing to inform you about water main relocation works that will shortly take place in your area as part of the CityLink Tulla Widening project.

The CityLink Tulla Widening project involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. The project will also provide travel time savings per trip between Melbourne Airport and the West Gate Freeway during peak periods.

The project will deliver a safer, more reliable freeway. Generally, an additional lane is being added in each direction, as well as upgrades at key interchanges including Bell Street, Mount Alexander Road/Flemington Road and on the Bolte Bridge to West Gate Freeway entry ramp.

CPB Contractors is the construction contractor for the Bulla Road to Power Street section of the project.

When works will occurOur works will occur from 10am to 3pm Tuesday 15 March 2016.

What we are doingWe will shortly be relocating an existing underground water main on Mount Alexander Road. To prepare for these works, we need to undertake the following early works:

Survey the area Use a saw cutter to cut into the road where the water main is located The road will be reinstated after the water main has been relocated.

What to expect Traffic management in place to safely guide motorists and pedestrians around our works Single lane closure on Mount Alexander Road with reduced speed limit A small team of construction personnel at work Noise from saw cutter when in use There will be no water disruptions to properties in the area.

We are committed to keeping residents and businesses informed and minimising the inconvenience during construction, while keeping the community and our workers safe at all times. Managing and protecting the environment is also important to us and we are working with local and state government adhering to environmental laws to ensure the impact to the natural ecosystem is minimised.

This work may be rescheduled in the event of unsuitable weather or other unavoidable circumstances.
