1 IntroductionDeLaval farm monitoring camera FMC-IP1 is aHD supervision camera system for barns, stablesor outdoor areas especially made for tough barnenvironment. The camera software provides areal time view, several areas can be monitored atthe same time.

3 Function of the FMC-IP1The camera transmits signals wirelessly throughWi-Fi. The video feed from the camera can beviewed using the associated software. The num-ber of cameras that can be used at the same timedepends on the bandwidth of the internet con-nection.

Note! Maximum number of cameras is 100 in thesoftware.

The camera needs to be placed within Wi-Firange, see Fig. 2; all obstacles between the cam-eras and the router will affect the quality of thevideo feed.

4 WPS buttonThe camera (FMC-IP1) is equipped with a WPS(Wi-Fi protected setup) button. If the router alsohas WPS function a safe and easy connectionbetween the camera and router can be estab-lished. Follow the manual for the router for theWPS setup.

5 Memory cardThe camera can be equipped with a memorycard. The memory card is necessary for using themotion detection recordings in the iOS andAndroid application.

1 GB equals approximately 68 minutes of recor-ded material.

Some memory cards may need formatting beforeoperation.

6 SoftwareThe video feed can be viewed via PC software,Android or iOS applications.

The FMC-IP1 software is available for PC or asmart device and can be downloaded for freefrom the following locations:

6.1 Software functionsThe software can be used to take photographsand record videos from the video feed of thecamera. The motion detection function notifiesthe user on unexpected movements in the moni-tored area. The software can be set to send apush notification or to send an e-mail notificationevery time the motion detection alarm goes off.The e-mail notification function requires a receiv-ing e-mail account and a sending e-mail account.

The sending and receiving accounts can not bethe same, a Gmail account is recommended forthe sending e-mail account.

1 Installing the software1. Turn on the PC or smart device.

2. Download the software FMC-IP1

n from www.delavalfmc.com/FMC-IP1for PC

n from AppStore for iOSn from Google Play for Android.

3. Follow the instructions on the screen toinstall the software.

4. Add the camera to the software.

2 Connecting the camera to a net-workNote! Make sure that the camera is locatedwithin the Wi-Fi range and the signal is strongenough.

Note! Make sure that the router is connected tothe Internet.

The camera is pre-configured to automaticallyconnect to a DeLaval router. If a DeLaval routeris available follow steps 8-10.

1. Change the power adaptor cable to the "Y"cable, see Fig. 3.

2. Connect the network cable to the "Y" cableand to the router.

3. Plug the power adaptor connected to thecamera into the power socket, see Fig. 4.

4. Open the camera settings and connect thecamera to the Wi-Fi network.

n For PC see Ä Chapter 1.7.3 "Settingthe camera properties" on page 37.

n For iOS see Ä Chapter 2.6.2 "Chang-ing the camera network" on page 40.

n For Android see Ä Chapter 3.4 "Cam-era settings" on page 43.

5. Disconnect the network cable from thecamera.

6. Detach the "Y" cable from the camera.

7. Plug in the power adaptor cable to the cam-era.

8. Fasten the antenna on to the camera.

9. Fasten the camera in a suitable positionwith the included screws in the camera foot.

10.Plug in the power adaptor to the powersocket, see Fig. 5.

3 Adding a camera to the PC soft-ware

1. Open the PC software, see Fig. 6.

2. Click the "Camera" icon in the menu bar,see A in Fig. 6.

ð The "Camera" icon becomes red.

3. Click the "Add camera" icon in the field ofinstalled cameras (B).

Note! It is recommended to change thecamera password to prevent unauthorizedaccess. To change the camera passwordfollow steps 7-10 in Ä Chapter 1.7.3 "Set-ting the camera properties" on page 37.

6. Enter a suitable name for the camera, seeC in Fig. 7.

7. Click the green "Check" icon to confirm.

4 Adding a camera to the iOSapplication

1. Tap the "Add Camera" icon, see G in Fig. 8.

2. Enter a suitable name for the camera.

3. Enter the camera "UID" code.

Note! The "UID" code can be found on thequick guide or on the camera.

4. Enter "admin" as default password.

Note! It is recommended to change thecamera password to prevent unauthorizedaccess. To change the camera passwordsee Ä Chapter 2.6.1 "Changing the cam-era password" on page 39.

5. Tap "Save" to confirm.

1. Tap the "Add camera" icon, see D in Fig. 9.

2. Enter the "UID" code.

Note! The "UID" code can be found on thequick guide and on the camera.

3. Enter "admin" as default password.

Note! It is recommended to change thecamera password to prevent unauthorizedaccess. To change the camera passwordsee Ä Chapter 3.4.1 "Changing the cam-era password" on page 43.

4. Enter a suitable name for the camera.

6 Inserting a memory card1. Slide off the protecting hood.

2. Unscrew the front part of the camera.

3. Separate the front part from the camera.

4. Insert the memory card into the memorycard holder.

Note! Make sure to insert the card the cor-rect way, otherwise it can stuck into thecamera.

5. Reassemble the camera.

1.5 Recording a video

1. Click the "Camera" icon in the menu bar,see A in Fig. 10.

ð The "Camera" icon becomes red.

2. Double-click the selected camera channel.

Note! Make sure that the camera is online.

ð The selected camera screen becomesgreen.

3. Click the "Record video" icon to startrecording, see D in Fig. 10.

Note! It is not possible to save recordingsoutside the hard drive.

ð The "Record video" icon changes to a"Stop" icon.

4. Click the "Stop" icon to finish recording.

1.6 Viewing a recorded video

1. Click the "Play" icon in the menu bar, seeA in Fig. 14.

ð The "Play" icon becomes red.

2. Select a camera from the installed cameralist (B).

ð The selected camera becomes red.

3. Double-click the selected video.

1.7 Camera software1.7.1 Setting the video properties

1. Click the "Settings" icon in the menu bar,see A in Fig. 10.

ð The "Settings" icon becomes red.

2. Click the selected camera.

3. Expand "Video Settings".

4. Adjust "Video Quality" with the slider.

5. Select the most suitable orientation in"Video Flip".

6. Click the folder in "Live view destination" toselect the suitable place for recordings.

7. Click the green "Check" icon to confirm.

1.7.2 Setting the recording properties

1. Click the "Settings" icon in the menu bar,see A in Fig. 10.

ð The "Settings" icon becomes red.

2. Click the selected camera.

3. Click the "Multiple view" icon in the menubar.

ð The "Multiple view" icon becomes red.

4. Click the chosen camera and expandoptions by right-clicking the camera pic-ture.

ð "Scheduled recording setting" and"Configure save path" options appear.

5. Click "Configure save path" and selectwhere the files should be stored.

6. Right-click the camera picture again,choose "Scheduled recording setting" andadd up to eight schedules. For each ofthem:

6.1 Check the "Enable" box.

6.2 Enter the recording start and stop time.

6.3 Select the start date.

6.4 Click the boxes for the preferred daysif recurrence wanted.

6.5 Click the green checkmark next to"Saving recording settings?" at thebottom.

Note! The video stream is running onlywhen the "Multiple view" menu isactive. The program itself can be mini-mized und run in the background, butthe recording will stop after leaving the"Multiple view" menu.

Note! Special characters (such as å,ä, ö, #, %, &) can not be used in a filepath.

Note! It is possible to record from mul-tiple cameras at the same time. Thisalso depends on the local network inorder to get the data from cameras toPC.

Setting a scheduled recording in the "Multipleview" menu

Note! The recording takes one file perrecording slot. Be aware that files canbe very big after many hours of record-ing.

Note! It is not possible to record overmidnight. If needed, add two recordingsessions - first until midnight, and thesecond one from midnight.

7. Note! Recording function from the"Settings" menu enables to record fromonly one camera, only on the SD card.

Expand "Scheduled Recording".

8. Click the "Plus" icon.

9. Enter the recording start and stop time.

10.Select the start date.

11.Click the boxes for the preferred days ifrecurrence wanted.

12.Click the "Check" icon.

ð The scheduled recording will be added.

13.Click the "Check" icon to confirm.

14.Click the "On/off" icon to activate thescheduled recording.

15.Expand "Notification Settings".

16.Adjust motion sensitivity with the sliderunder "Sensitivity".

17.Click the "On/off" icon to activate or deac-tivate motion recording.

18.Click the "Settings" (cogwheel) icon in"Sending e-mail address setting" to setsending e-mail address.

The PC software can create an e-mail witha snapshot when motion detection is acti-vated and alarming. To be able to use thisfunction, the sending and the receiving e-mail can not be the same.

Note! Gmail address is recommended asthe sending e-mail address.

1.7.3 Setting the camera properties

1. Click the "Settings" icon in the menu bar,see A in Fig. 10.

ð The "Settings" icon becomes red.

2. Click the selected camera.

3. Expand "Camera Settings", see A in Fig. 16.

4. Click the selected network (B).

5. Enter the network password (C).

Note! The program will not give an errormessage if a wrong network password isentered.

6. Click the "Check" icon (D).

7. Enter the current password (F).

8. Enter the new password (G).

Note! Only standard letters and numberscan be used in the password.

9. Enter the new password again (H).

10.Click the green "Check" icon to confirm (J).

11.Download the latest firmware fromhttp://www.delavalfmc.com/FMC-IP1.

12.Click the "Settings" icon in the top menubar, see A in Fig. 10.

13.Select the camera.

14.Click the "Folder" icon (N) in "Firmwareupdate" (K).

15.Click the downloaded file.

16.Click the green "Check" icon to confirm (L).

Note! The camera can be reset with the "ResetCamera" option (M) or by pushing the button atthe back of the camera for 10 seconds.

3. Turn on motion detection by tapping the"On/off" icon

Note! Push notification must be turned onin the settings of the device.

ð A push notification is sent when themotion detection alarm goes off.

4. Turn on alarm recording by tapping thealarm recording "On/off" icon.

ð Recording will start when the motiondetection alarm goes off.

5. Tap "Alarm actions".

6. Tap "Alarm e-mail".

7. Enter the sending e-mail account address.

8. Enter the sending e-mail account pass-word.

Note! The sending and the receiving emailaccounts cannot be the same.

Gmail address is recommended as thesending e-mail address.

Recommended settings:

n SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.comn SMTP Port: 465n Username: [email protected] Password: *******n SSL checkbox checkedn POP needs to be enabled in Gmail
