Camera Work High angle shot at start to show the difference in height – looking down on him in wheelchair. Low angle to show him looking up. Characters don’t look at each other when leaving the store – maybe they feel awkward. Mid shot when he uses the toilet to show them on the same level – helping him, equality. Over the shoulder shot in bathroom to show he feels awkward/ upset with the conversation. Editing Shot/reverse shot is used at the beginning to show how they are ‘different’. Looking down and then looking up. Action match is used when they are leaving the shop to show the disabled man leaving without any help- independence. Cross cutting when the man falls down the stairs and it switched to the man on his wheelchair showing the life of a disabled person. Mise En Scene Location- when they are in the toilet it shows his disability as he has somebody helping him. Colour- Dark and dull when focusing on the disabled man. This could suggest his ‘boring/dull’ lifestyle with his disability. Actor, costumes & makeup- Costumes are thick and layered which could suggest them being fragile or physically and emotionally unstable. Positioning- They are positioned lower or they fall lower to represent their impotence and how fragile they really are. This creates effect and makes you feel emotional/ sensitive towards his life and disability.
