Don’t miss the chance to see this fascinating story told by many exhibits in the collection. See the ‘Heart of the Ocean’ necklace worn by Kate Winslet in the Oscar winning film!

THE CORNISH CONNECTIONFrederick James Banfield born in Helston in 1884 perished in the disaster. His body was never found. See his letter and postcards sent to his family from the doomed ship.

More than just a Cornish tin mine

For safety reasons, the admission of children under 4 on the mine tour is at the Guide’s discretion. Also, as the tour follows the original mine workings it is unsuitable for those in wheelchairs. Suitable footwear must be worn therefore open backed and high heels are not permitted.
