Youth Unemployment in Indonesia

Youth have 4.6 times more difficulties to find a job

than adult workers. Whille global average is just 2.8

times (ILO, 2012)

The youth unemployment rate is the highest in Asia

Pacific region, about 19.9%.!!

Most of unemployed youths have lack of education (50% are just

graduated from elementary and junior high school, 30% are senior

high school, and the rest are university-graduated). Can not get

good job with low education!

What we get if we

ignore this problem?

Structural Poverty

CriminalBrain Drain: About 5% smart, genius,

and skillful people going abroad for better life and reward.They go to developed country like Singapore, Europe, and USA

THE LOW LAW!!!Low Economic Growth, Low Productivity, Low of labor

quality, Low of competitiveness of Indonesian labor globally,

Low of Welfare

Don’t want to scare you, but this is fact!

So, Why this can be happened?

Regular gathering: Sharing, Learning,

Entrepreneurs Organization

Cooperation with Regional Youth Comittee (Government),

Corporation, and Bank for Funding

First 2 weeks

• Establish the community

• Create a group in social network

• Invite many young entrepreneurs and brain drain people to support and give intellectual helps

Second 2 weeks

• Recruitment of core members and staff

• First Gathering Event (Launching event). Regular gathering event : once every 2 weeks.

• Follow-up the invitation

First 3 months

• Make business plan competition to search competent young entrepreneur candidates

• Search sponsorship for funding and training to the winner.

3 best business plan will get help

for funding, guiding, even

expanding their market.

These Young entrepreneurs will give jobs to other

youths

“In one year, we want make more than 10 young

entrepreneurs, even though it just small level. Let’s say

if one young entrepreneur can make 5 jobs, we have

helped 50 unemployed youth to work! And we believe it

would be double even triple in the near future!”

“We will very happy if we can make about 30-50 young people to engage with our team in one year. We will encourage as many as possible young entrepreneurs as well to help and support us!”
