Our Mission

• Provide a voice and a platform for parents of CHIJ-OLN girls to

o partner and support the school,

o understand the challenges facing our children,

o develop better parent-child-school relationship, and

omake a difference to the lives of the students

What is the Role of PSG?

• Channel for parents to provide feedback for the benefit of the school

• Channel for school to explain their policies and decisions

• Provide academic and non-academic support for the school’s activities

• Foster better rapport and support among school members, parents and students by organizing educational and social activities

Traffic Control / Gate Duty

• Ensure safety / security of students coming into school

• Mon – Fri, 7.20 – 7.50 am

Recess

• Assist students in the canteen• Mon – Fri, 10 - 1130am

Recycling

• In support of NEA’s recycling programme• Educate and inculcate recycling habits

among students• Collection of recyclable items, mainly

paper materials eg. magazines, newspapers, books, etc.

Catholic Activities• Facilitate the students’ encounter with

their faith during TLC (Mon, 1-2 pm), Quiet Time and Mothers’ Prayer Group

• Assist in mass / paraliturgy (1x a month)• Open to Catholic parents only

plays, etc.

Social Events

• Bonding activities and trips e.g. Mini Golf, Science Centre, Farm visit and potting, etc.

How Much Commitment Needed?

• Regular programmes – daily, weekly, monthly

• Ad-hoc or project basis e.g. banner design for school events, school fund raising carnival, dance performance, etc.

Who Should Join the PSG?

• PARENTS (/grandparents) who wish to know what is happening in and around school, and who wish to be part of these happenings

• PARENTS who know the importance of journeying with their daughters

• PARENTS who want to contribute to the safe and

enjoyable memories of their daughter’s childhood

in school
