The Longest Night Thurs, Dec 20, 7 PM

For some, Christmas brings sadness instead of joy–a season of darkness arising because of grief, depression, isolation, trauma, and physical or mental illness. “The Longest Night” is a worship service for those touched by the darkness this year. Music, lament, prayers, and reflection will gently accompany us in the darkness.

CONNECTING IN MISSION CLASS Sun, Dec 9, Noon-1:30 PM

Are you looking to get engaged with and learn more about Trinity? Maybe you just started coming, or maybe you’ve been here for a while. Regardless, you are invited by Christ in Mark’s gospel to “go across to the other side” and take that leap of faith into the unknown.

Join Pastor Hector for this introductory class in which you will explore what it means to be a disciple of Christ and join God’s mission of discipleship through the ministries of Trinity.

A light lunch will be provided. We will welcome the group into the Trinity community during worship on December 16.

With questions, and to express interest, please contact [email protected].

Child Development Center Giving Tree The Giving Tree represents 20 children from the Child Development Center who are in need. Each tag has a gift for one of these children, so take one or more and bring the items back to Trinity by December 20. When all the tags are taken and gifts are returned, each child sponsored will receive: shirt, pants, winter coat, pajamas, and a toy or ‘for fun’ gift. The tree will be displayed in the Narthex until all of the tags are taken. Thank you for your generosity!

Christmas With Our Neighbors The annual Neighbors in Need Christmas party is December 15 during Saturday breakfast, and you can help! We are collecting women’s and men’s gloves and socks ONLY this year. Check out the display in the narthex for more information.

Thank you for your generosity in providing for our Neighbors!

Walking to the Manger and Beyond Beginning December 7, a new walking group will meet at Trinity Fridays at 9 AM to walk outside for about one hour with Bruce Sutherland leading. A short devotional will precede the walk using “An Advent Devotional” by Butch Odom. In the event of rain or snow, we will carpool to the Alderwood Mall. Come each Friday morning in December. An evening group is also a possibility.

Call or email Bruce Sutherland (425-478-5725; [email protected]) or EdnaMae Olufson-Smith (206-914-3927 [email protected]).
