Baptism: Baptism is celebrated on the Second Sunday of each month at 2:00PM and on the Fourth Saturday of each month at 12:00Noon. Please call the Parish Office to make an appointment to meet with Deacon Zeuner. Sacrament of Penance: The Sacrament of Penance is offered each Saturday at 1:00PM. and at other times by appointment with one of our priests.

Marriage: A couple planning marriage must make an appointment with one of our priests or deacons at least 6

months in advance of the marriage.

FAITH FORMATION

Religion classes for children in Grades 1 through 8 at-tending public school are held on Sunday mornings fol-lowing the 9:15AM Family Mass. Diocesan guidelines require two years of preparation for First Holy Communion. Children 6 years of age or older who have not been baptized must receive two years of instruction before receiving the sacrament of Baptism. In all cases, parents/guardians must make an appoint-ment to speak with Sr. Patricia Anglin at the Office of Faith Formation 718-347-0525. RCIA - If you are an adult, 18 years or older and inter-ested in completing your Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion) now is the time to register. Robert Za-yatilake of Kurunegala, Sri Lanka, to our parish the weekend of July 29th/30th. SUMMER SENIORS will meet again this summer on Tuesdays, 1:00-4:00PM, in the newly renovated Rectory Basement. Please enter through the church doors and use the elevator or stairs. When you get downstairs, go to the left through the Green Room into the Rectory Basement. There will be other BBQ items for sale, beer donation and fun and games! Please come out and support our team as they make their way to Cooperstown the week of August 13th. BOOK CLUB - the next meeting will take place on Monday, July 31st, at 7:00PM in the Rectory Basement. The selection for the discussion is 1984 by George Or-well. The book is available at the Bellerose Library.

Cruise on the Bay.” We’ll have a DJ, food, refreshments and fun as we wind down summer by enjoying a beauti-ful evening on this sunset cruise. It all happens on Friday

evening, August 25, from 7PM to 11PM when we will board The Cap-tain Lou VII from Freeport’s Nautical Mile. Tickets are $40 per person and are on sale in the parish office starting

THEATRE GROUP will present Disney’s The Little Mermaid, August 3rd –August 13th, in the air conditioned Oak Room. Dates and times are as follows: August 3rd-5th at 8:00PM, August 6th at 2:00PM, August 9th-11th at 8:00PM, August 12th at 2:00PM & 8:00PM & August 13th at 2:00PM. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors & students and

In addition, there will also be a bake sale on Sunday, July 23rd, with pro-ceeds going to support the summer musical. MUSIC MINISTRY - Our vibrant Music Ministry en-sembles (Adult Choir, Chamber Singers, Folk Group, Friends in Christ Ensemble, School Choir) take a well-deserved summer hiatus. It seems an appropriate time to acknowledge them for all of their hard work and prayer-ful dedication throughout the year to this vital ministry. It is easy to forget how much their singing enhances our liturgical celebrations until they are not present during the summer months. We look forward to their return in the Fall. Consider joining one of the ensembles then!
