Proposed Solution Provide a registration hardware and software to capture studentsfingerprints

Provide a Mobile Verification Hardware which can match studentfingerprints (PC with fingerprint device in classroom will also work)

(reason for suggesting mobile h/w is to prevent mishandling of the unit bystudent when no teacher is around)

Provide a central database for registered fingerprint of student/system

should also have capability to match in local databases in Mobileverification terminals

Provide a software which can take the data of verification result andprocess in a report to make logical conclusions about presence/Absence

entered:

Userid: this is unique id for each

user

Name: Enter name of the user

Groups: Create groups for the

registration.

Sex: select gender of the person

Address: Enter address of the

person

Emergency contact: Enter

software.

On the scanner userneeds to place fingertwo times for the correctfinger registration.

After placing samefinger for two timesit shows successful

capturing screen

finish button tocomplete registration

Setup Options menusettings in the BioDesk software:

Organization name: Here enter name of the organization for whichscanner is installed.

Machine id: give unique machine id for scanner

Identification: for 1:N matching set identification level.

Verification: for 1:1 matching set verification level for the sameAuto IN/OUT: By default this checkbox is selected. Through this settingfirst punch will be taken as IN and second will be taken as OUT.Scan for every seconds: Here user will be required to set timing for autoscan mode. Suppose office starts at 9 in morning. So admin wants thatbetween 9 9:05 AM scanner will get start blinking automatically, sohere admin can set timing for the sameShow snaps after verification: Here user can set time in settings for

showing snap of finger after verificationOptimize sorting: This setting will sort database. Ie last punch made

comes in first row of databaseMaintain monthly log: If this setting is clicked then in the root directorypathIt creates log file for the particular month after end of the monthCreate text log file: If this setting is clicked then it creates log.txt file atroot directory of installationPassword button: If admin wants to change his password then he canclick on password button and enter new password for the sameView log:When admin click on this button he can see logs for theemployees. Through this screen he can delete, modify logs

DSN: Through this screen admin can set the (DSN) Data Source Namelocation path for the database.

Log Records of attendance can beviewed from here.

You can save the text file in using a USB pen drivefrom PC and then use it in attendance software

You can generate classroom wise daily report (though depicted as company in the

pic)

Who is in Report gives information as who was present on a particular date and time of attendance

Apart from these two reports there are 14 other reports given by the system

related to attendance.

Connectivity options

then you can use USB Pen drive for data transfer to the PC where timeattendance reporting software is installed.

If You have LAN connection in the class room then Time Attendance softwarecan pick the data from the connected PC through specified path

If you are using a PC and Fingerprint scanner in the classroom

If you are using the Mobile Terminal then the same can be used with LAN or

pen drive as it has all the necessary ports.
