Serial Number A serial number appears on all Opticon products. This official registration number is directly related to the device purchased. Do not remove the serial number from your Opticon device. Removing the serial number voids the warranty.

Warranty This Opticon product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship as agreed in a written contract. Opticon will repair or, at its option, replace products that are defective in materials or workmanship with proper use during the warranty period. Opticon is not liable for damages caused by modifications made by a customer. In such cases, standard repair charges will apply. If a product is returned under warranty and no defect is found, standard repair charges will apply. Opticon assumes no liability for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damages arising out of use or inability to use both the hardware and software, even if Opticon has been informed about the possibility of such damages.

Packaging The packing materials are recyclable. We recommend that you save all packing material to use should you need to transport your scanner or send it for service. Damage caused by improper packaging during shipment is not covered by the warranty.

1. Abstract This manual provides specifications for the CRD 9726 modem cradle.

2. Overview The CRD 9726 is a modem cradle designed for the OPL 9728 data collector.

Data stored in the OPL 9728 data collector can be transmitted via a modular cable when the data collector is set in the CRD 9726 cradle.

7. IrDA Configuration Transmission settings can be adjusted via the transmission settings switch on the bottom of the device.

Replace the cover after you have finished adjusting the settings.

8. LED Indicator The cradle uses three types of LEDs to indicate its status.

9. Durability 9.1. Shock

There was no sign of malfunction with the scanner’s structural performance after the following drop test.

• Drop Test: Drop the scanner from 75 centimeters above a concrete surface, once in each of 6 directions.

12. Packaging Specifications 12.1. Single Packing Specification

Put the CRD 9726 in a protective foam bag and place it in a single packing box alongside the accessories.

14. Safety Handle this product carefully. Do not deliberately subject it to any of the following.

14.1. Shock • Do not subject the cradle to long-term vibration.

• Do not throw or drop the unit.

• Do not place heavy objects on the cradle.

• Do not squeeze the cradle between heavy items.

14.2. Temperature Conditions • Do not use the cradle at temperatures outside the specified range.

• Do not pour boiling water on the cradle.

• Do not place the cradle near a fire place.

14.3. Foreign Materials • Do not put the cradle into water.

• Do not put the cradle into chemicals.

14.4. Installation • Install this product on a dry and clean place.

• Place this product on a flat horizontal surface, like a table or shelf.

• Do not use the scanner near a radio or a TV receiver. It may cause reception problems.
