From the Principal __________________________

Dear Parents and Friends of Crossmaglen Public School,

Crossmaglen Public School works with 20 other schools in the Mid Coast Valley School’s

Network under the supportive guidance of Sue Brown, Director Educational Leadership. Last

Friday we had our term learning day in Nambucca Heads and for part of the day we looked at

the vision we have been working under for the past twelve months.

Network Vision: Mid Coast Valley Schools are a reflection of our diverse communities. Just as the rivers

connect our towns, the schools connect our children. Our schools are future focused, innovative and empowering,

and our teachers and principals work collaboratively to deliver educational opportunities borne of high

expectations in cohesive and supportive teaching and learning environments. We believe that every child can

learn and we use our collective expertise to plan for and meet the wellbeing and educational needs of all students

in our care. We reflect on our success and commit to improvement in pursuit of excellence. Students, parents

and staff work in partnership to ensure that every child and young person in the Mid Coast Valleys is known,

valued and cared for.

Sue will be visiting our school this Tuesday as part of our Leadership and Management

meeting to discuss my Performance Development Plan, data and evidence of literacy and

numeracy growth, our School Plan and the School Excellence Framework. Please call in and say

hello to Sue.

Kindergarten Orientation

Our Kindergarten Orientation program is proving to be a great success. It is wonderful to see

the children arrive with excitement and interest in the activities set out for them. Each and

every child already has a sense of ownership of ‘their’ new school - especially as they engage

with their literacy based craft.

It is also wonderful to watch the parent’s faces as their little ones stride into The Yellow

Cottage…. little ones who are about to commence a big, bright new chapter in their lives.

Please note that the masterpieces will be on display in the office.

Kindergarten Enrolments for 2020

If you have a child who is starting Kindergarten next year, or know of any families who may be

interested in our school, please contact Ky in the office on 66534295. Please note that

Kindergarten children must be five years of age by 31st July 2020 in order to enrol in

Kindergarten.

P and C

Please come along to our P and C meeting this Wednesday 4 September at 2pm in The Grey

Cottage. Any excuse for a cuppa and a catch up…..all positions are filled - I promise :)
