On a day when we intentionally show others God’s love through cards and chocolate J, may we take time to reflect on the ultimate act of love. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) I highly encourage every family to take time to listen to Father John’s kerygma talk posted at iamolgc.com to hear about God’s love. Thank you for allowing the OLGC staff to partner with you as we offer encounters with Jesus for our students to fall in love with God! We are less than three weeks away from the Lenten Season. This week, several speakers, including Father John, have recommended preparing ourselves for Lent by identifying a virtue that we struggle with and making a daily effort to strengthen this virtue in our life. This same challenge was given to each student. Every action of ours reinforces a habit and our habits form who we are. Through God’s divine grace, may our identified virtue become part of our spiritual armor and allow the light of Christ to shine in our world! Thank you for helping your children prepare for Lent by reflecting on virtues. Here is a parent resource to assist you: https://www.twl4parents.com/raising-catholic-kids-who-live-the- virtues/ This week, we had our first Mom’s Coffee with Our Mother event. The Mom’s Coffee was a response to the desire for more time together following the Fall Mom’s Retreat. It was a blessed morning that allowed moms to reset their day or week and focus on the desires of our Lord. It also allowed OLGC moms to gather in fellowship as we learn how to best support and encourage each other as we “Fight the Good Fight.” A future Mom’s Coffee will be scheduled before the end of the school year. In addition, a Revolutionary Health evening is being planning for April 4th. All moms are highly encouraged to attend. If you were unable to attend the Lisa Brenninkmeyer Walking with Purpose Live Event this week, I encourage you to listen to it at: https:// www.olgcparish.net/wwp May your family be blessed by time together this Mid-Winter Break. We look forward to welcoming students back to school at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, February 19th. In Christ, Melissa Hunt, Principal

What a gift the children of Fatima are to each of us! It is such a blessing listening to Father Prentice teach our lower division about Fatima each week through his homilies at Mass. During chapel time this week, second grade students spent time reflecting on how they can be like Francisco and console the heart of Jesus. They came up with

examples of sacrifices they can make as well as acts of kindness they can share with the world. Last week Father Prentice taught the students another one of the Fatima prayers, and here it is for your families to recite at home. I love watching how the Holy Spirit guides the students’ hearts. One of my favorite responses from second grade this week on how they could console the heart of Jesus was said with a giant smile "Go to Reconciliation!!". We can learn so much from our younger students about the gift of the Sacraments and the grace Jesus wants to pour in each of our hearts.

Most Holy Trinity,Father, Son and Holy Spirit,I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences whereby He is offended. And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.

OLGC is welcoming the Rotating Shelter in March and could use help from OLGC Parish School families. There are many volunteer opportunities, morning and evening slots on both Tuesday, March 26th and Wednesday, March 27th.

This opportunity allows us to put into practice the Corporal Works of Mercy. We are fortunate to have moments in our lives when we can help those who cannot help themselves. Please prayerfully discern the service you are able to provide. Sign-up links listed below:Tuesday (3/26/19)https://m.signupgenius.com/#!/showSignUp/30e094ea4a92ca2fc1-olgc6
