Wrapping up a financial year defined by landmark sales and exceptional results, a celebration was in order for the Caporn Young team.

The company’s now annual awards night was held at its innovative new Fremantle office last month, and the 70-strong team were out in force to raise toasts to the year’s highest achievers.

East Fremantle specialist Emma Powell was named Sales Person of the Year and Coogee specialist Lucy Gibson took home the Rising Star of the Year Award.

Property Manager of the Year went to Jenevieve Dias and Leasing Agent of the Year went to Patrick Heenan.

Patrick also won the Caporn Young Team Member of the Year Award, which was determined through a company-wide vote.

In his acceptance speech, Patrick said his work colleagues were “like a second family” and that he loved coming to work everyday to be surrounded by like-minded and hardworking people.

Caporn Young co-founder and chief executive Richard Young described Patrick as a “consummate professional who embodies all of our company values”.

He added that all of the company’s top performers were extremely generous in the support they offered to others in the team.

“We are not a company of individuals, we are a team, and a championship team will outperform a team of champions any day of the week,” he said.

“I am incredibly proud of the performance across Caporn Young’s three offices. While other companies are battening down the hatches, we have grown our team by 34

percent.”

Highlights of the financial year included securing 17 percent more sales than the previous year, maintaining an auction clearance rate of 70 percent and building the company’s property management portfolio to more than $600million in assets.

As more and more West Australian’s choose to buy, sell and lease property through Caporn Young, a fourth office is set to open in Subiaco and the Applecross office is preparing to move into a larger space.

Real Estate Results Network chief executive Michael Sheargold was a special guest at the awards night, and presented RERN Silver, Gold and Platinum Sales Awards. Ten Caporn Young agents received these national accolades, which recognise sales people who achieve a high volume of sales while demonstrating exemplary customer service and a commitment to going the extra mile.

In the Platinum category, which correlates with the top five percent of Australia, four awards were presented - to Emma Powell, Craig Gaspar, Stefanie Dobro and Steve Currie.

“It’s rewarding to see how Caporn Young have evolved and grown,” Mr Sheargold said.

“There’s a true sense of team work - every member of the team is valued, from the person who answers the phone right up to their top sales people. The directors of Caporn Young are incredibly fortunate to have such a committed team, and the team is fortunate to have such innovative and positive leaders.

It’s a perfect combination for delivering a great client experience and Saturday night was a celebration of this.”

Perth’s rental market has had a challenging year, but the leasing team at Caporn Young are experiencing activity that will ensure our clients are sheltered from any oncoming storms.

We have recently secured a number of rental applications from the Canadian and United States Navies, as well as the Australian Defence Force.
