5 Software Engineering –CS 411: The purpose of this course is to provide students with fundamentalknowledgeofobjectorientedprogramming(OOP). Itemphasizesgoodsoftwareengineeringprinciplesanddeveloping programming skills. Specific topics covered include: fundamental concepts of object orientedprogramming (classes, methods, instantiation, communication by message, encapsulation, inheritance,overriding,dynamicdispatch,polymorphism,etc.) and some interestingpackages (I/O, strings, etc.).As anOOPprogrammer,astudentwillbeabletotranslatesolutionproblemintoobjectorientedform.
