Books can be purchased before school from 8.45 am 9.15 am (except Thursday morning 23 May), Lunch time 1.40 2.00 pm and after school from 3.15 - 3.45 pm during the Book Fair. All commissions which the school earns from the Book Fair are used to purchase new books for our school library. Normal book returns and borrowing will still occur during class library lessons. ATHLETE’S FOOT DONATION Recently at the 3-6 Assembly the school was presented with a donation from the Griffith Athletes Foot of $1120.00. The Griffith Athletes Foot provides an annual donation to the school for each pair of shoes that members of the school community purchase and identify GEPS as their school. Thank you to the Athletes Foot and everyone who has supported GEPS.

FOOTSTEPS DANCE PROGRAM Next week all classes K-6 will be participating in a Footsteps Dance program. This involves a 40 minute dance lesson each day which meets the outcomes of the Dance strand of the Personal Development, Health and Physical Education syllabus. The dance program will take place in the school hall and promotes: Confidence, Fitness, Coordination, Self-esteem, Creativity, Social skills, Risk-taking There is no cost to students for this program.

5D are completing an art project using recycled items. We

are collecting bottle caps of all sizes and colours. If you

have any bottle caps at home we would greatly appreciate

it if you could bring them into school. There will be a

container in the front office for collection. We will be

collecting from 16/05 until 7/06. Your assistance is greatly

appreciated!

THURSDAY 30 MAY

Students from Years 3 - 6, are invited to a free disco next Thursday 30 May from 6pm – 7.30pm sharp. Students need only bring a drink bottle - there will be no canteen. Dress is casual. The disco is being conducted by the dance instructor from Footsteps who is here all next week giving daily lessons to our students. Supervision will be provided by GEPS staff.
