The Montessori Magnet is a Pre-K-5 program

that aims to foster competent, responsible,

adaptive citizens who are lifelong learners and

problem solvers. Classroom learning occurs in

an inquiring, cooperative, nurturing atmosphere.

Students increase their own knowledge through

self- and teacher-initiated experiences. The self-

contained classrooms have the human

resources of both a trained Montessori teacher

and a paraprofessional.

What I gained as Service

Learner

I learned many new strategies from the teachers which I will use in my classroom; from the implementation of the curriculum to her approach to teaching; the planning of the lesson plan to the activities carried out in the classroom and the way she incorporate multiculturalism in the classroom.
