INFORMATION INFORMATION : [email protected] EUROPEAN MASTER OF SCIENCE EUROPEAN MASTER OF SCIENCE (M. SC.) (M. SC.) OF VITICULTURE AND ENOLOGY OF VITICULTURE AND ENOLOGY Vinifera EuroMaster allows unique academic joint competence and qua- lification in Viticulture, Enology and Economics. It is organized by a Consortium of six European partners from : France, Italy, Germany, Portugal and Spain, major producing countries of quality wine in Europe. These partners represent well known academic institutions of higher edu- cation and research in wine and vine sectors. They are among the few institutions offering multidisciplinary courses at Master level, ran- ging across viticulture, enology and related socio-economic sciences. . France : Montpellier SupAgro + ENITA Bordeaux . Germany : Justus-Liebig University of Gressen, the Fachhochschule Wiesbaden -Fachbereich Geisenheim and the Geisenheim Research Institute . Italy : Consorzio delle Università di Torino, Milano, Palermo, Foggia, Sassari + Consorzio delle Universita de Udine, Padova, Verona . Portugal : Universidade Técnica de Lisboa - ISA + Universidad de Porto . Spain : ETSIA – Universidad Politecnica de Madrid Vinifera EuroMaster teaching language in the first year is English. Language training of the two hosting countries is provided. The first two semesters of Vinifera EuroMaster are based in Montpellier, in the South of France. The third and fourth semesters take place in another one of the Consortium member of the student’s choice. The fourth semester is dedicated mainly to the Master thesis. Vinifera EuroMaster combines an international blend of : university lec- turers, professors, wine & vine specialists, enologists, viticultors, resear- chers, biologists, chemists, economists, and professionals working across the board of viticulture, enology & socio-economic fields. Tastings, field trips, sensory analysis, conferences and workshops form the core of the teaching methodology applied. Non European applicants might be eligible for Consortium Grants of 10 000 euros for the first academic year, awarded to best performers applicants. European applicants might be eligible for Languedoc-Roussillon Region Grants of 3600 euros for the first academic year, equally awarded to best performers. Successful students are awarded the Joint Master Degree: European Master of Science (M. Sc.) of Viticulture and Eonology, delivered by the six European Consortium members.
