4 THE MOUNTFEATURES

Hobbies, according to dictionary.com, are “an activity or interest pursued for pleasure or relaxation.” Some hobbies benefit more than just the person who engages in it. “I was at a friend’s house one day play-ing Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga,” said sophomore Broden Kaps, creator of Broden’s Lego Videogame Help. “My friend kept commenting on how I knew where everything was and said that he wished that I could be there all the time so that he could collect everything. I thought of a few different ways that I could do that, and I settled on making a walkthrough site.” Broden’s Lego Videogame Help, BLVGH for short, is a Lego video game walkthrough site run through Google Sites. It has walkthroughs for every platform from PC to DS to any of the consoles and for nearly every Lego video game that is out currently. Kaps currently has 100% walkthroughs for 36 different Lego games. Kaps began his site on the day the world predicted to end, December 21, 2012. Since then the site has been visited by 2307 people from 71 different countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Russia, China, India, and South Korea. Kaps’s process for creating walk-throughs begins by going through the story mode first. In story mode, players

play through the story of the game as the original characters from that scene. After completing the story mode, He goes through the game on free play mode, discovering all the hidden surprises in each level. Then he goes through and using the in game currency, studs, buys all of the purchasable items. Kaps then does breakdowns of each character, listing each

character’s abilities and how to unlock them. Kaps doesn’t use cheat codes, but he researches and finds the cheat codes for each game. Kaps also follows LEGO game news and stays up to date on upcoming games. “I’m so excited you can play as 20 different dinosaurs

and even customize your own,” Kaps said about the upcoming Lego Jurassic World. His current project is Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues. He has completed 11.7% of it. Future projects include Lego Pirates of the Caribbean and upcoming games Lego Jurassic World and Lego Marvel’s Avengers. If you need help on a lego videogame check out his site at: https://sites.google.com/site/brodenslegogamehelp/ or follow him on twitter @BLVGH and on face-book. If you prefer PC gaming Kaps has BLVGH guides on Steam.

2005 he has averaged a class size of 55 incoming freshman. Crawford doesn’t just explain Mount Michael, he sells it. In recruiting visits, Crawford holds himself and the students he brought along to a very high standard and the results are obvious to see considering every single pair of eyes in the room is on him. “He always speaks with confidence and kindness and never misses a beat no matter how ridiculous a question the middle schoolers come up with.” said

Matthew Dugick, a student who often goes on these visits with Crawford. Of all the nice things recounted about Crawford and the laughs swapped about his various endeavours everyone concluded with just saying “Thank you”. Every single person had complete adoration and respect for both Mr. Crawford, himself, and his work here. On behalf of the entire Mount Michael community: Thank you Mr. Crawford.
