Under this plan, members will have access to more independent providers than any other Davis Vision benefit plan and enhanced benefits for lenses, frames and contact lenses. The plan was designed to meet and exceed the increasing consumer expectation for higher quality options in their vision benefit plan. The introduction of idealChoice significantly expands Davis Vision’s current portfolio of vision offerings, and will help members access routine eye exams and corrective eyewear at affordable prices at more provider locations. “In addition to a range of quality lens types and coatings, the idealChoice plan design includes free-form digital and progressive lens technologies,” said Tom Davis, Davis Vision’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer. “Our membership has been steadily growing in recent years; and, expanding product lines and developing provider participation are necessary responses to this growth.” With a growing network of more than 30,000 providers, Davis Vision understands the need to expand product lines for its preferred provider organization. Easy administration and convenient in-network claims are just some of the benefits for providers. Davis Vision plans are currently available to small, mid-level and larger employers. The company expects to expand access to other customer segments in 2011. The vision program can be customized with a wide range of benefit levels and copayments.
