exceptional quarter with record cash receipts in Q1 2015, expects to

continue strong growth in revenue in 2015

Wednesday, 15th April 2015 - Freelancer Limited (ASX: FLN), the world’s largest freelancing and crowdsourcing marketplace1, today released its Quarterly Cash Flow Statement (Appendix 4C) for the quarter ending 31 March 2015 (Q1 2015). In Q1 2015, the Company experienced record cash receipts of $8.0 million, up 8.2% on Q4 2014, and up 42% over the prior corresponding period. The Company also achieved positive operating cash flow of $1.0 million in Q1 2015. As of 31 March 2015, Freelancer had cash balances of $22.1 million, an increase of 9.6% from $20.2 million as at the end of Q4 2014.

Matt Barrie, Chief Executive of Freelancer Limited, commented on the results, “Freelancer again achieved exceptional results in Q1 with record receipts from customers and projects & contests posted. We also moved from negative cash flow in Q4 2014 to positive cash flow in Q1 2015. Freelancer.com update

During Q1 2015, we released over 230 incremental improvements to our desktop and mobile sites for Freelancer.com. We redesigned our profile pages to create a better interface for freelancers to showcase their amazing work. With our crowdsourced contest offering, we upgraded the user interface and enabled a new “urgent” upgrade for people wanting to get work done more quickly.

In order to improve the discoverability of high quality freelancers we launched "Skills Lab", an overhaul of our online exam and qualification process. As we flew above 15 million registered users, we launched a new simplified home page and overhauled the site navigation. We improved the user interface and user experience for online chat on our website and integrated chat support into our desktop application. We also improved our algorithms for intelligent matching of demand & supply in the marketplace.

We implemented payments, milestones and post project functionality in our Android App, the ability to view currently active jobs in the ‘My Projects’ section, and browse proposals from the project page in our iOS App.

We also launched a new HireMe widget, allowing freelancers to be hired directly from third party websites. We also redesigned and relaunched a new affiliate program structure for third parties to drive traffic to our websites. During the quarter, we acquired DoNanza, an Israeli marketplace which aggregated and consolidated freelance jobs published across the web, and matched them with a network of over 360,000 users.

With Warrior Forum, after a number of major infrastructure upgrades, we started accepting credit cards for the first time in the site’s history, and implemented the ability to create joint ventures in the WSO marketplace.

With Freemarket.com we implemented bulk listings, allowing sellers with a large amount of web properties to easily sell in the marketplace. We also enabled better browsing with new filters, and allowed the saving of search queries. Nominated twice in the 19th Annual Webby Awards At the end of the quarter we were pleased to announce that we have been officially selected as a Nominee in the 19th Annual Webby Awards for Best Employment Website and Best Professional Services Website by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS). The Webby Awards is the leading international award honouring excellence on the Internet, similar to the Grammy, Oscar and Emmy Awards for music, film and television.
