English: Writing Look at Slide 1 of this presentation to revise the seven steps to writing success. Write the seven steps down so you don’t forget. Brainstorm and fill out the Plan for Success sheet below. Look at Slide 2 & 3 carefully to see how to plan a narrative. Look at how Matt Cosgrove planned his ‘Alpacas with Maracas’ story and now watch the story on Youtube.
English: Writing Use the scaffold attached in Google Classroom called ‘Physical Geography of an Asian Country’, to carry out research on the physical geographical features of the Asian country you have chosen to study. Note: Physical geographical features are natural features of the environment (mountains, rivers, forests etc). Make sure you are filling the scaffold in with your own words – not just copy/pasting text from the internet. You will need to complete this scaffold in order to be able to participate in a writing task next week.
English: Writing Read slides 4, 5 & 6 carefully. Write a short retell of a fairy tale or a story in the third person. eg The Three Little Pigs. Now rewrite it in the first person where you are one of the characters and telling the reader what happened. Write it again in the second person as if you are one of the characters and you are telling the other characters what to do.

2. Draw a ‘birds-eye’ view of a room in your house (not to scale). A ‘birds-eye’ view is ‘from above’ (the view a bird would see as it flew above). Label windows, doors and furniture in that room. Draw the direction of North pointing to the top of your map.
Using your map: a) Locate something on your map that is NE of something else on your map. Eg The door is North East (NE) of the desk. b) Describe the direction of something on your map from something else on your map. Eg The window is South (S) of the bed. c) Do the same as (b) for another 2 items that are on your map.
