GAMING TODAY Batman: Arkham Knight Batman Arkham Knight has just been released and it has brought gamers the love that the game

deserves. It brings a new setting and connotations towards the character as many people see what the game will bring towards the series. Since Rocksteady had made previous games such as Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Origins this new game flows up from that about a year later. Rocksteady’s creative designer Sefton Hill, said “When our latest game a long time ago Urban Chaos, we wanted to change something within our design and idea groups, so we partnered with Eidos Montreal and we wanted to creative this inspirational game Batman: Arkham Asylum. But what we were trying to focus on was something a little bit different from the other games, we were focusing on the Predator gameplay where the player felt in control with stealth and tactical attacks.

We also saw like the level of detective mode and bringing that detective side of the game, of our character unlike previous games. With Arkham City we knew that this was our middle story, bringing new characters like Hugo Strange, Riddler’s first appearance and Ra’s’al’ghul. We also wanted to change the story from time to time like Batman trying to figure out what Protocol 10 is then joker infecting him with his blood and joker dying from the Titan in Asylum.

With Arkham Knight however our idea was to bring new characters, new plots and locations because we are in Gotham but the islands not the main city itself. We see new villians such as instead of Joker and Hugo Strange its now Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight. The game brings out a new addition towards it such as my favourite bit is the new Batmobile with battle mode and taking out militia tanks.

What this game also brings is a wider range of side missions as of course we have Riddler, it also brings Penguin which introduces Nightwing into the story. We also have new stories like Firefighters and crime scenes of dead bodies as such, so yes Arkham

Knight is one of our favourite games and we hope you enjoy it” -Sefton Hill

What this game brings also is that the viewers are loving the new villain, Scarecrow it changes from Joker and Strange from the past three games. What Scarecrow in this one is trying to expose Batman as a fraud to inflict Batman’s fear and show it to the world. Also, it is bringing the Arkham Knight into this story, where he

has a militia and has taken over Gotham with APC’s, Watchtowers, Roadblocks and Bombs. The game is almost different from any others, it changes our view upon then characters. Viewers are also loving Most Wanted with returns from Penguin, Riddler, Two-Face and Azrael (Arkham City).

John Noble-Scarecrow “What Iike about this game is that I am playing a dark, scary character unlike form any other roles I have done. I feel like that I have to come evil to be evil, if you know what I mean. In this story Scarecrow is trying to expose Batman’s fear, he’s trying to expose him as a fraud to the world. Scarecrow thinks that if Gotham burns he will be able to inflict and discover Batman’s true fear and how he can manipulate that fear to twist him and destroy him.

Me as a gamer, I felt like that this game brought a new experience towards Batman, I saw Batman as a character who is getting out of his way to stopping Scarecrow in the story. He is driven by Scarecrow as he is trying to manipulate his fear and destroy it at any means necessary. What I liked most about this game is that the battle mode and predator gameplay was phenomenal. The stealth takedowns, the glide kicks and of course the new fear multi takedown. The battle mode with the Batmobile changed

everything it brought a new branch of gameplay and it tells us that Batman is going all the way to stopping Scarecrow.

What is also great about Arkham Knight is how we get to see Barbara Gordon as Oracle, since in the last two games we heard her face on the coms piece in Batman’s cowl. I like how it brings her into the story her not leaving and being taken by Scarecrow. What the game brings that I mostly love is the locations. Such as the G.C.P.D Lockup building with the evidence lockup inside and the cells. The clock tower with the bat computer. Also Wayne Tower, where you meet Lucius and his first appearance is spectacular. Also in the game it introduces the new dual takedown system as a we see Batman with Robin and Nightwing. What I think is also great about the story is this new character the ‘Arkham Knight’ it brings a new character into the dc universe and splits the story into a new. What I like about the Most Wanted list is that it evolves from time to time, bringing new missions such as the Perfect Crime, The Line of Duty and Riddlers Revenge.

The new gadgets, Batmobile and gameplay brings out a new look into the dark knight. The design of the game, the graphics and the story is amazing and Rocksteady have really stepped up there game by changing the way we view the Arkham series and it is a great way to end of the series by showing new challenges, new characters and new locations in this franchise. During the game we are introduced to many characters, featuring from Aaron Cash, Jim Gordon, Man-Bat, Simon Stagg, Harley Quinn, Robin, Nightwing and a special appearance from the Joker. All these characters and yet we need to touch on the Riddler challenges. We see in the trailers that the riddler is appearing in the game, so Riddler has set up more riddles around the islands. He has also set up trophies which unlock Collectibles such as showcases and concept arts. He has also set up rioters with bombs which reveal riddles and trophies as well as interrogating rioters.
