Loopback Adapters
• IMPORTANT NOTE: Although the Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Express Edition may not require an operating system loopback adapter, the standard version of Oracle Database 11g Release 2 definitely does. It does no harm to install an operating system loopback adaptor, and we recommend that you do so.
