CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGEDr. Awadh O. Al-OadahCoordinatorProfessional Engineering Development Division/Engineering ServicesSAUDI ARAMCO

Dear Colleague,

The Executive Technical Steering Committee and Praxis Global Research are delighted to organize the 2011 Global Strategic Human Capability Development and HR Workshop, specically tailored to Oil and Gas – for Technical and Human Resources leaders. This workshop will show participants how to improve their business performance and productivity by capitalizing on their Human Capital.

The workshop is scheduled for October 3-6, 2011 in Dubai, UAE, and promises to be a highly interactive, industry-oriented, case study and proactive solutions driven workshop, on how to power the Oil and Gas business through leveraging the Human Capital industry. The workshop will include an exclusive CIPD Certied Master-Class on Talent Management, delivered by CIPD Training (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development), UK. Participants will receive a CIPD Training Certicate of Attendance, with a second Certicate of Achievement.

With the existing workforce crisis particular to the Oil and Gas industry, it is imperative that the Business, Technical leaders and Human Resources experts work together. The challenge is to bridge the gap between the demand and supply of talented professionals, and to train our workforce to build their capabilities.

Issues such as talent management, workforce planning and budgeting, resourcing, retention, learning and develop-ment, Employee Value Proposition, Nationalization and knowledge management will be addressed. In addition, tangible, best practice case studies and strategies for each issue will be discussed. We — myself as Executive Chairman of this workshop, along with the Executive Steering Committee members — are looking to ensure success for all of our leaders in the business, technical and HR areas of the industry, by focusing on this very signicant and crucial subject.

We can only achieve this goal by bringing together experts from across the globe, to address these critical challenges, to protect the most precious of an organization’s resources – its human capital.

It is on this note that I strongly encourage your participation in this highly important meeting of the minds — between the business, technical and HR professionals — to delve into the issues and nd solutions to manage our talent, not just for now, but for the future as well. The committee is looking for your expertise and support, and would be delighted to invite you to join the esteemed speaker panel and delegation.

Your contribution – in the form of joining the community, leading discussions and participating — is important to us and the industry.

I look forward to working with you on this project. Kindly reply with your conrmation to our Project Manager – Nisha Ramisetty at [email protected].

I look forward to meeting you this October.

Best Regards,

Dr. Awadh O. Al-OadahCoordinatorProfessional Engineering Development Division/Engineering ServicesSAUDI ARAMCO
