A joy to ride

Your passengers will appreciate the Scania Touring’s smart, contemporary and practical design, which improves journey comfort and safety. Above all the coach is very quiet inside, thanks to an efficient aerodynamic exterior package and good drivetrain isolation. Large windows give an unimpeded outward view. A range of Australian-made seating may be specified, plus an onboard entertainment system helps the journey pass more quickly. The latest Scania active safety features are standard or available as options.

Quality Build

The Scania chassis and powertrain delivered from Europe is mated with a high quality, mass produced body at a modern, technology-rich, dedicated production facility in China, under the watchful gaze of Scania’s own quality assurance teams. All components are supported by the Scania service network in Australia.

Quality Powertrain

The Scania powertrain is identical to that offered in Scania’s existing Australian range, using either our frugal and reliable 5-cylinder 9-litre SCR engine or our more powerful 6-cylinder 13-litre SCR unit. There are Euro 5 and Euro 6 compliant options, and Scania Opticruise automated two-pedal or ZF automatic transmission options, both equipped with retarders.

Quality Design

The distinctive Scania style with darkened glazing and a matte black grille forming the dynamic T, so familiar in Europe, makes its debut in Australia. Xenon headlamps enhance the European look. LED daytime running lights and LED tail lights plus aluminium wheels complete the premium exterior look. A full 9 m3 of underfloor luggage space accessible via six easy-lift doors.

Quality Interior

Available fully fitted ex-factory or imported empty so you can select your own choice of Australian-produced seating, the Touring caters to all needs: cloth or leather, and up to 57-seats plus the driver. The main saloon’s air conditioner is supported by a specific unit for the driver, which helps to reduce fuel burn when traveling empty.

Quality Safety

The Scania Touring provides leading-edge safety systems. It passed the European rollover standard tests with flying colours and comes standard with anti-lock brakes, electronic brake system and electronic stability control. On Opticruise transmission models Adaptive Cruise Control is available.

Scania Driver SupportThe onboard driver trainer installed in the digital dashboard constantly relays driving tips and awards drivers a star rating for their smoothness, anticipation and safety. Feedback is in real time and their efficiency score at the end of the journey indicates exactly how well they have been driving. This allows you to set targets formally or informally.

Scania Fleet Management
