Dear colleagues,Dear friends, On behalf of the Hellenic Spinal Cord Section of the Hellenic Society of PRM, I am happy to announce the 4th National Congress of HeSCoS, affiliated member of ISCoS (International Spinal Cord Society), which will be held during 13 to 15 of December 2019, at “I. Vellidis” Convention Center Vellideio, Thessaloniki.The main theme and motto of this year is “Healthy, and long living after SCI”.Special topics will be addressed: SCI in childhood, mothers with SCI, sexual health, prevention and management of disabling secondary conditions: spasticity, pain, neurogenic bladder and bowel, pressure ulcers, sarcopenia, osteoporosis and fragility fractures. Dear Friends,The Macedonia – Thrace Annex of the Hellenic Association of Paraplegics, in collaboration with the Spinal Cord Section of the Hellenic Society of PRM, are hosting the 4th Hellenic Spinal Cord Injury Conference, which will take place between 13-15 December 2019, at the “Ioannis Velidis” Conference Center in Thessaloniki. Lectures and Presentations will take place on the topic of healthy, high-quality and long-lasting living after the injury, with reference to the scientifically correct ways of facing complications and secondary conditions that occur in the everyday life of people who live as paraplegics or tetraplegics, as a result of a spinal cord injury.Excellent Scientists, Physicians of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Health Professionals, from Greece and all over Europe as well as people who have faced injury and experience a different reality, will participate as Speakers, with the aim of substantiating and applying new methods and scientific approaches, that occur from new needs and data and will help improving the quality-of-life after the injury.
