Under the “Machine Directive” CEE 89/392 and following revaluations, following definitions are madeknown:

"Dangerous Zones":any zone inside and/or in proximity to a machine where the presence of an exposed personrepresents a danger for the safety and the health of that person.

"Exposed person":any person who is completely or partly in a dangerous zone.

"Operator":the person in charge who works on the machine, regulates, executes the ordinary maintenance or thecleaning of the machine.

Only trained personnel should operate the machine. To define better the intervention field and relative qualifications of the “operators”, as well as to makeeasier the immediate reading and understanding of this document, the following classification isdefined:

Leader:Specialized and authorized person who is able to work on the machine with activeprotections through the use of the control on the panel, or to operate with disabledprotections, to execute simple assignment of regolation, starting or restoration ofproduction.

Technical maintenance man:Specialized and authorized technician whois able to install, regulate and to executemechanical maintenance.

Electrical maintenace man:Specialized and authorizedtechnician who is able toinstall, regulate and to executeelectrical maintenance.

INSERT C Manual is a machine with the ideal features to drill and insert hinges without anypneumatic devices.

INSERT C Manual distinguishes itself for the constructive method: the frame is completelyconstituted from a single cast of aluminium and this allows for an elevated strenght andprecision of the machine. The high-quality components utilized to manufacture the machine are extremely reliable, allowing the use on particle board, MDF, ply-wood or hard wood.

• The adjustment of “K” (Tab distance) of the hinge or the shoulder for the positioning of the holesoccurs in a very simple and fast way through a millimeter indicator.

• The drilling occurs by lowering the lever until thecatch present on the head is in contact

with the panel.

• During the insertion of the hinge, anend stroke prevents the rotation ofthe drilling machine for safetypurposes.

PROVIDED USE

The machine INSERT C Manual has been studied and projected to drill on any type of wood,e.g.:particle board, MDF, ply-wood, hard wood etc.Always use sharp boring bits.Always use the type and the model of the hinge forwhich the machine has been supplied or for whichthe machine has been arranged.

NOT PROVIDED USE

The machine INSERT C Manual has not beenstudied and projected to drill on material which isnot wood.It is forbidden to drill materials like iron, marble, plastic materials etc.It is forbidden to insert hinges of different typeand model for which the machine hasbeen shaped. It is forbidden to mount and usetools of different dimensions andtype from the ones for which themachine has been arranged.

For unauthorized use of themachine, the Company OMAL S.r.l. will accept no responsibility.

It is mandatory to use gloves during the maintenanceoperations.

Replacement of drill bits

To replace the drill bits, use the 4 mm allen wrench, loosen the LOWER grub screw (picture 1- position A) holding the drill bit with the other hand to avoid it falling on the bench.

Unthread it cautiously from the mandrel and replace it with a new one, upon control of itsright length, as explained here below.

Setting the length of the drill bit

The length of the drill bit (from the cutting edge to the adjusting screw) must be of 57 mm asshown in picture 2.If this measure is shorter, regulate the length of the drill bit by operating with a screwdriver onthe respective adjusting screw.

ATTENTION

All drill bits must have the same length.

6.01Trouble shooting, end of useand discard information

The machines OMAL are projected and built according to principles ofsturdiness, duration and flexibility that allow to use them for a lot of years.

At the end of its technical and operating life, the machine must bedemolished. The machine cannot be used anymore to satisfy the aims it was projectedand built for, but the reutilization of the raw materials that constitute it ispossible. Please, check if recycling facilities exist in Your area.

The Company OMAL S.r.l. assumes no responsibilities for damages to people or thingswhich derive from the reutilization of single parts of the machine for functions or situations ofassembly which are different from the original ones.

The Company OMAL S.r.l. refuses any recognition, implicit or explicit, of qualification tospecific aims of machine parts reutilized after the definitive deactivation of the machine inview of the demolition.

To deactivate definitively the machine, operate in the following way:

✗ ATTENTION

The operations of deactivation and demolition ofthe machine must be entrusted only to a staffwhich is fairly skilled and equipped.

❍ Disconnect the machine from the

systems of electrical feeding.

❍ Dismantle the machine into the

principal components.

❍ Block all the mobile parts of the

machine.

❍ Bring all the components of the

machine in controlled dumps.
