The IGZ Magdeburg connects creative heads from theory and practice, offering them an unique environment for a successful busi-ness start-up. Since our beginnings in May 1991 we have paved the way for innumer-able innovation leaders and thus developed continuously – to become one of the largest and economically most successful techno-logical centers within Germany. More than

70 enterprises with over 500 employees do business in two locations in Barleben and Magdeburg on a total area of approx. 25,000 square meters. The proximity to the freeway and the technology park Ostfalen as well as to the city of Magdeburg with its Universi-ty, the University of Applied Sciences, and Fraunhofer Institute offer an exceptional en-vironment in which new ideas have a future.

We make business start-ups successful by: offering particularly favorable special con-ditions, aim-oriented qualifications and me-diation of public funding offers. Most en-trepreneurs are very experienced in their business field when they start, however are often lacking the necessary business know-ledge to successfully establish an enterprise on the market for good. For this reason we

coordinate and organize practical help for business start-ups, which is being financed by the Ministry of Science and Economic Affairs as well as the European Social Fund ESF. More than 300 business start-ups were already able to profit from this program.
