Important Information - Albany Eisteddfod

Important Information

1. All Performers must arrive and be ready 15 minutes prior to their item time. 2. Programme times will be adhered to as accurately as possible. Please be aware that

these times are indicative only and may vary. 3. There will be no official accompanist appointed. Competitors must therefore

provide their own accompanist. Recorded accompaniment will not be permitted. Accompanied means with an instrument.

4. Competitors, teachers and parents must not approach the Adjudicator before or during the session in which their student/child is performing. Queries are to be directed through the Adjudicator’s Secretary.

5. Ensembles and other groups are requested to state their requirements for stands and seating to [email protected] prior to commencement of the Eisteddfod on June 11th.

6. Tuning must take place in the mustering points (Lesser or Albert Hall) prior to an item going on stage. Only a few seconds will be allowed to check tuning on stage. If the piano is to be used with the item a reasonable time to check tuning will be allowed on stage.

7. Mustering Points for performers across the Eisteddfod are as follows.

A map is included for reference: Areas will be well signed.

8. Strictly no photos are to be taken within the performancevenue. 9. Mobile phones must be switched off and may not be used for the purpose of

recording the performances.

Important Note For Winners

First, Second and Highly Commended prizes will be awarded to each item where

appropriate. An overall ‘winner’ will be chosen from each section (listed below).

All winners of sections are required to make themselves available to perform in the Winners

Concert on Friday the 14th of June. If you indicated that you are unable to perform in the

Winners Concert on your entry form please note that you will not be able to be considered

for the section prize.
