Opioid Use Disorder versusMindfulness-Enhanced Therapy

Nearly half of all individuals receiving MethadoneMaintenance Treatment (MMT) for opioid usedisorder will relapse within just six months. Withthis in mind, Dr. Cooperman and her team begantheir investigation with the hopes of finding anovel means to enhance the assisted recoveryprocess and improve the likelihood of positivetreatment outcomes.

This small 'pilot' study found extremely promisingresults for the future of mindfulness-enhancedtreatment, and Dr. Cooperman looks forward tobeginning work on a larger study with a muchlarger participant pool.
