Please find below some information regarding the event and your preparation. Summary In the context of an ever globalized world, where regional challenges tend to affect us all, the partners in the project agree that global responsibility concept has to be mainstreamed in non formal education. With strategic policies such as Europe 2020, Millennium Development Goals, Rio +20, the partners in the project see it as their role to seed among the young people a sense of global citizenship and responsibility. The Contact Making Event will bring together 39 participants, representatives of 17 organizations across Europe to create liaisons that foster the Global Responsibility Education on local and European level. The participants will design operational strategies for their organizations in regards to Global Responsibility Education, as well agree on further cooperation with the partners involved. Dates: October 25th (arrival day) - October 31st (departure day). Venue: Slettestrand, Feriecenter Slettestrand: www.slettestrand.dk Boarding and lodging The costs for food and accommodation are fully covered with the grant received from the European Commission. The accommodation will be organized in 3-room apartments with a common living room and bathroom. preparation.

Summary

From Aalborg to the venue:

If you arrive to Aalborg airport, please take the bus number 70 to Fjerritslev.

If you arrive to Aalborg bus terminal/train station, you can take either bus 70 or bus 970x to

Fjerritslev.

From Fjerritslev, please take the bus number 560 to Slettestrand.

The travel from Aalborg to Fjerritslev takes about 1 hour. The travel from Fjerritslev to

Slettestrand takes about 15 min.

A bus ticket from Aalborg to Fjerritslev costs about 80-90 DKK. The ticket is valid for 1.5

hours, meaning that you can use it for your trip to Slettestrand if you have an immediate

connection. Otherwise, a bus ticket from Fjerritslev to Slettestrand costs 22 DKK.

Please note that you can pay for your bus tickets only in cash. You can buy the tickets from

the driver.

There are limited buses from Fjerritslev to Slettestrand. Please check the available

connections at www.rejseplanen.dk.

From Copenhagen

From Copenhagen, you can arrive either to Aalborg or to Fjerritslev. There are the following

options:

1. plane to Aalborg: Purchase your tickets either from www.norwegian.dk or www.sas.dk.

The flight takes about 45 min.

2. train to Aalborg: you can buy the tickets online at www.dsb.dk or at the DSB desk either

in Copenhagen airport, Terminal 3. The train leaves to Aalborg directly from Copenhagen

airport. The trip takes 5-6 hours.

3. bus to Fjerritslev: From Copenhagen airport, Terminal 2, you can take a bus directly to

Fjerritslev. The trip will take about 7 hours. You are required to make a reservation online at

http://www.abildskou.dk/ .

Please note that you are responsible to organize your trip from your place of origin to the

venue. Should there be no available public transportation by your arrival time either in

Aalborg or Fjerritslev, UNA is open to arrange a transfer to the venue, however the costs for

this service shall be covered either from the travel contribution available or from own funds.

Travel contributions

The project can cover travel expenses up to the following amounts:

Denmark 180€ (Only for distances between 100-499

km*)

Spain, Italy, Romania, Turkey, Estonia,

Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Kosovo,

Croatia, France

275€ (Only for distances between 500-1999

km*)

Turkey 360€ (Only for distances between 2000-2999

km*)

Azerbaijan, Egypt, Jordan, Armenia, Georgia 530€ (Only for distances between 3000-3999

km*)

*calculated with the distance calculator of the European Commission from the from the

location of each sending organization to the venue.

If the travel expenses exceed the contribution available, the participant shall cover the extra

costs from own financial resources.

Please send us a copy of your tickets latest on within 5 days after the selection results are

announced.

Reimbursement Procedure

The reimbursement for your travel expenses will be made through bank transfer after the

CME and within 45 days from the date when the organizers receive the original of the travel

documentation and a proof of dissemination activities.

In order to be eligible for reimbursement the travel should:

1. 2nd class tickets;

2. Arrival should be no later than October 25th;

3. Departure should not be before October 31st;

4. Without any unnecessary stops.

Please remember to keep all your travel documents, such as boarding passes, bus/train

tickets, invoice etc.

Visa:

Should you require a visa to enter Denmark and need an invitation letter for this, please send

us a copy of the passport and details of the person at [email protected].

There is a budget available for visa costs as follows:

Armenia, Azerbaijan, Jordan Egypt, Kosovo,

Georgia, Ukraine

150 euro/participant

Turkey 66 euro/participant

The budget foreseen for the visa costs should cover consular fees, visa fee, travels in

connection with visa application etc.

The reimbursement for visa costs will be made through bank transfer, together with the travel

expenses. The visa costs will be reimbursed only upon the presentation of the original

invoices, receipts, travel tickets etc.

Insurance:

Participants in Contact Making Event must have a health insurance covering them for the

whole duration of the activity. It is the responsibility of the participants to make

arrangements of their health insurance. The costs for the insurance are not covered from the

project budget.

Program

Attached to this letter is the draft program of the Contact Making Event. Please note that some

changes in the program will potentially be made.

Preparation

Prior to the project activities, please send to [email protected] a presentation of your

organization of max 3 min.

The deadline to send the presentations is October 15th.

Intercultural evening

The programme foresees an intercultural evening. It is up to each delegation to decide how its

country and culture should be presented. You can bring samples of food and drinks, make

presentations. Should you want to prepare a power point presentation, please make sure that it

does not exceed 3 min.

Dissemination

Dissemination of the project results is a key feature in the Erasmus+ programme, therefore,

partner organizations are inquired to organize dissemination activities after the project

activities.

The dissemination of the project results is expected to start latest two weeks after the project

activities end. Participants and their sending organization must send the organizers a proof of

dissemination activities by November 23rd, 2015.

the a group for the organizations and participants involved in this project. The group can be

Please add each other in this group.

What to bring

1. Your own bed sheets and towel. The hotel provides bed sheets and towels for an extra

fee of 100 DKK;

2. Rain coats (we never know when it might rain);

3. Things for the intercultural evening;

4. Your own laptop should you need it;

5. Swim suit. The hotel has a swimming pool and we will have free access;

6. Indoor shoes.
