Georgia is the aspiring economic center of the Cau-casus. Georgia is ideally positioned to access markets of Asia and the Middle East, as well as Europe and the CIS countries. The country economy is highly integrated with international markets.
The reforms to the Georgian economy have resulted in a great flow of foreign direct investment and posi-tive gross domestic product (GDP) growth.
Industries present in Georgia include aircraft manu-facturing, bottled water and wine production, chemi-cals, electric motors, electric welding equipment, fuel re-export, foundry equipment (automobiles, trucks, tractors), machine tools, machinery for food pack-ing, tower cranes, wood products, steel, shoes, and textiles.
The largest energy producing source is hydropower. Currently, Georgia is privatising the energy sector.
The World Bank rated Georgia as the 16th easiest place in the world (among 190 countries) to do busi-ness in 2017.
WHY GEORGIA?
