Residents living in Sherwood will benefit from a diverse and individualised environment where the normal daily rhythm of life is supported by staff who understand the importance of flexible and responsive support.
The small, home-like living environment for 14 residents is complemented by thoughtfully designed living areas. This creates a seamless flow to self-serve dining areas, lounge rooms and outdoor living spaces which aid in maximising the natural light entering the home.
Lifestyle choices for residents will be diverse, personalised, meaningful and supported across the 24hr day / night cycle with a clear focus on individual wellness. Team members working in Sherwood will support resident’s physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing in an individualised manner. This includes sensory stimulation and support with technology which promotes multiple entertainment options and connections with personal relationships.
All staff working in Sherwood will have specialised skills and knowledge in dementia support where the uniqueness of each resident is respected to enable the highest levels of autonomy, choice and active, positive living.
