RACHEL SALTON Divisional Manager, SuretyRachel is a Surety specialist and former Treasury Analyst for a Tier 1 contractor. She joined JLT in 2015. Rachel previously managed more than AU$1 billion of contract security and arranged issuance of more than 700 unconditional undertakings in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Rachel’s extensive experience allows her to understand the end to end process of contract security management. Her advice includes a strategic review of bond registers, bonding procedures and reporting, and facility forecasting methodologies; as well as ongoing risk analysis of bond wording and contract security clauses.

SURETY BONDdef. A financial instrument from an Insurance Company issued on behalf of a Contractor undertaking to pay a maximum specified sum to a Beneficiary if the Contractor fails to meet an obligation. eg. The Contractor defaults under the contract or becomes insolvent.
