SA1 exams has been advanced to 21st September 2014.

The parliamentary elections which happened in India on March 2014 was

a great success. It was the largest election in the world. Many parties took

part in this elections which included the Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) ,

Indian National Congress (INC),Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) etc. The elec-

tions were conducted very smoothly by the Election Commission of In-

dia. There were 4 phases of polling in many of the states. The results

came on May 16 2014. The BJP won 282 seats and the union of parties

headed by BJP known as NDA won 339 seats while the congress won just

44 seats and AAP had to be satisfied with just 3 seats. As BJP has won an

absolute majority they decided to make Narendra Damodardas Modi as

the prime minister of India. This is the first time in 30 years a party is

winning absolute majority in India.

6-A

It was a fascinating assembly conducted by 6-A on

the topic “MOTHER’s DAY”. The students of 6-A

show cased the importance of mother in various

ways..

6-B

It was an informative assembly conducted by 6-B on

the topic “BOOKS”. It tells an importance of books and

facts which we have never heard. “NOT ALL READ-

ERS ARE LEADERS BUT ALL LEADERS ARE

READERS”.

THANK YOU .......

From a mere 200 students three years ago to 2000 stu-

dents today, JSSPS has indeed come a long way!! This

is the perfect opportunity to thank you – our dear par-

ents, who have made this journey possible. A heartfelt

thank you to each one of you!!!

My favorite place in the world

My favorite place in the world is Cologne, Germany. I had gone there in

2008, on a Europe tour. This was the last country I visited in Europe. I wanted

to see all the attractions, especially Cologne Cathedral and Lanxess Arena.

Cologne Cathedral was pretty old but so historic. Cologne Cathedral is a

Roman Catholic Church, it is the seat of the Archbishop of Cologne. Lanxess

Arena was so cool, fun and crowded, that I got really exited. It is an indoor

arena which was built in 1988 and can accommodate more than 20,000 peo-

ple in the arena. I had visited other places too, like museum Ludwig and the

Zoological Garden, even though if I hated wildlife it still attracted me.

RIDDLES

Wednesday, Tom and Joe

went to a restaurant.

When they were done

they paid and left. But

neither Tom or Joe did

pay. Who did?

Ans. Their friend Wednes-

day did.

Why do bicycles fall

over?

A: Because they are two-

tired!

LABOUR DAY-PAINTING EXPERIENCE

The terms “LABOUR” and “LABOURER”

reminds us the hard work done by few people

by which we are able to lead a happy and a

comfortable life.

When I was given the oppor-

tunity to present my talent of art under the

topic- “ WORKERS ARE THE PULSE OF

OUR NEW BUISNESS” for the International

labour day, I was quite thrilled to sketch and

paint the picture.

I thank the school manage-

ment, my teachers and parents, and the UAE

ministry of labour for nominating and

awarding me.
