Hola! The benets to children
of learning a second language
To fnd out more about pre-school Spanish lessons, contact Berwick Road Day Nursery

IT’S amazing when you seen peoplefrom foreign countries who canspeak English with ease. And it’sannoying when you try to learnFrench or Spanish at evening classes but struggle to make any headway. So what’s the secret? Well it is
widely believed that i you startlearning a second languagerom a very young age you willremember so much more.Te benefts o your child
learning a second language atpre-school age can be huge. Not only will they be able to
learn the language quickerand easier but it is alsobelieved that it improves memory and inormation retention as well as leading to higher resultsat school. Many schools these days are
opting to teach Spanish ratherthan French because it is thethird most common language inthe world, spoken in much o the Americas as well as in Europe. At Berwick Road Day Nursery, Clare Moorehas taken on the task o teaching the youngstersSpanish.
She has achieved great success so ar by usingvisual aids, music, culture and ood to inspire thechildren.Helen Cartwright, who runs the nursery, said:
“It’s great to hear the children counting up to 10in Spanish ater just a couple o lessons.“Pre-school is the best time or a chidl to start
learning Spanish. In act they will be learning asecond language without even knowing!”

“People often ask “what
are m rights?” when
what the reall mean is “what should I
do?”.And there’s no set answer to that.
Each person’s problem and options are
different.”you will need to consider whether ou’re
likel to win, how much ou’re likel to
win, and what it’s going to cost ou.
Andrew Holrod sas: “When ou’ve
considered the answers to these three
things, the sensible course of action
starts to become apparent. But ou’ve
also got to consider whether ou’re willing
to ght.
you should also make sure ou’re taking
action for the right reasons, not simpl
seeking vengeance, seeking what’s
best for ou - and not what’s worst for
the emploer. you should also consider
what’s best for ou in the wider picture of
our career and reputation.”
If ou do want to take our complaintto an emploment tribunal ou must

However, this deadline may be extendedin special circumstances. If our claim is
