Mums on the runMany of the mums, girls and staff from Little Sutton CE Primary School (Berwick

Road) took part in Race for Life events to help support Cancer Research.

It is a charity close to our hearts as so many people that we know have been touched

by this disease in some way. One of our teachers Mrs Claire Randa is returning to

work this term, following her treatment. This has been our school communitys way of

helping to contribute to the on going ght against cancer and we thank everyone for

supporting us either by taking part, or by sponsoring those that entered.

Fun day remembers Jordan

A fun day was held at the University Church of England Academy (UCEA) to

honour brave student Jordan Rose.

Jordan, who was from Little Sutton, died from a rare form of leukaemia. The

fun day raised funds for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, at Backford,

and a Rose Garden was opened in memory of the 15-year-old formerstudent.

scripts for the BBC will talk about her life and works. Hilary is well known for her series

of family saga novels. She is also a trained actress and has spent many years teaching

Saturday 10th SeptemberPark Play Day at Whitby Park. A range of free activities on offer including Dr Bike Cycle

Surgery, bring you own bike for a health check and assistance with minor repairs.

from local organisations such as The Links Healthy Living Centre and Groundwork
