Finalmente la nuova sede di Gruppo Sicura è una realtà! Questa è una tappa molto importante nella storia del nostro Gruppo; oltre alla ne-cessità di uno spazio che potesse contenere lo svilup-po previsto nei prossimi anni, Gruppo Sicura aveva l’esi-genza di una sede che co-niugasse le differenti anime date dalle tanti funzioni e dalle diverse società presenti. Il risultato finale coglie piena-mente le nostre aspettative.Gli architetti sono riusciti a tra-durre i nostri intenti in un pro-getto e le imprese hanno poi realizzato il prodotto come richiesto. Con questo volume vogliamo ringraziarli per la professionalità dimostrata e per avere trasformato in real-tà un nostro sogno.

We finally made it!! The new building of Gruppo Sicura is finally open!! This is a very important step in the history of our Group. In addition to a space that could hold the development foreseen in the next few years, Gruppo Sicu-ra needed a location that could host the various func-tions and firms of the group. The final result fully fulfils our expectations.The architects were able to translate our wishes into a de-sign and firms have then built the product as requested. In this volume, we wish to thank them for their professionalism and for having transformed our dream into reality.

Il programma d’intervento, predisposto dalla Commit-tenza in sede di affidamento dell’incarico di progettazio-ne, è stato una sorta di timo-ne che ha diretto il lavoro dei Progettisti in tutte le fasi. Sin da subito sono state stabilite le principali esigenze e finali-tà a cui il progetto avrebbe dovuto trovare risposte ade-guate:• la suddivisione in aree fun-zionali ed il loro dimensiona-mento;• la posizione, le caratteristi-che formali e funzionali del-l’ingresso;• alcune “parole chiave” (Modernità ed Affidabilità) che connotano il lavoro del Gruppo Sicura e dovevano essere adeguatamente rap-presentate;

• la volontà di costruire un edificio sostenibile capace di contenere i consumi ener-getici;• Il budget economico com-plessivo dell’intervento.Da qui sono nate le scelte fondamentali del progetto: dalla lucente solidità delle pareti dei locali produttivi alla trasparenza dell’acciaio e vetro del corpo a uffici, dalle vertiginose dimensioni dell’in-gresso alla leggerezza delle terrazze, dalla scelta minima-le delle finiture degli interni alla ricchezza di relazioni che si concentrano nell’atrio al primo piano, fino all’uso di speciali vetrate termiche, dei frangisole e dei 20 Kwp di pannelli fotovoltaici installati sulla copertura.

The activity program prepa-red by the Client when the design was commissioned had a key role in directing the work of Designers in every phase. The main needs and scopes to which the design would have provided suita-ble solutions were established since the beginning:• subdivision in functional areas and their dimension;• position, formal and func-tional characteristics of the entrance;• some “key words” (Moderni-ty and Reliability) that define the work of Gruppo Sicura and had to be properly re-presented,• the willingness to build a sustainable building able to contain energy consump-tions;

• the overall economic bud-get of the activity.Thus, the main design choices were made: from the shiny solidity of the walls of the pro-duction rooms to the transpa-rency of the steel and glass inside offices, from the enor-mous sizes of the entrance to the lightness of terraces, from the minimal choice of inte-rior finishes to the richness of combinations in the hall, on the first floor, up to the use of special thermal glasses, blinds and of the 20 Kwp photovol-taic panels installed on the roof.

SCELTE TIPOLOGICHE

Sono tre le macro-funzioni che dovevano essere messe in relazione: la funzione pro-duttiva, quella direzionale e quella meeting e di forma-zione. Tutte realtà, come indi-cato dalla Committenza, che dovevano essere collegate tra loro ma al contempo mantenere una sorta di indi-pendenza funzionale, proprio per la diversa natura delle attività che si sarebbero svol-te. Le ridotte dimensioni del lotto hanno reso necessario estendere gli spazi della pro-duzione a quasi tutto il piano terra, occupando parte del-lo spazio sottostante gli uffici. Questa scelta obbligata ci ha portato a trasferire in blocco al piano primo e secondo le attività direzionali e ad inserire al piano terra soltanto le fun-zioni di meeting e formazione. Da qui l’idea di un ingresso “verticale”, un primo snodo funzionale capace di divide-re ed unire le diverse realtà, di trasferire l’utente visiva-mente oltre che fisicamente sia verso gli spazi di meeting e formazione, sia verso la cor-te al piano primo sulla quale si affacciano tutte le diverse realtà direzionali che appar-tengono al gruppo.

TYPOLOGICAL CHOICES

There are three macro-func-tions that had to be combi-ned: the productive, the ad-ministrative, and the meeting and training function. As indi-cated by the Client, all reali-ties had to be connected to each other but at the same time retain a sort of functio-nal independence due to the different nature of the ac-tivities that would have been performed. The reduced sizes of the lot required to extend the production spaces to al-most the entire ground floor, occupying part of the space below the offices. This forced choice brought us to transfer completely the administra-tion activities on the first and second floor, and place only the meeting and training fun-ctions on the ground floor. Here the idea was born of a “vertical” entrance, a first fun-ctional junction able to sepa-rate and combine the various realities, to transfer the user vi-sually and physically towards meeting and training areas and also towards the hall on the first floor onto which all administrative activities of the group overlook.

DISTRIBUZIONE

SCELTA STRUTTURALE

La scelta di una struttura mi-sta acciaio e c.a.p. nasce in seguito a valutazioni di tipo geologico e statico. Queste hanno evidenziato che se la parte di edificio a tre piani fuori terra fosse stata realizza-ta con struttura in calcestruz-zo armato avrebbe dovuto necessariamente poggiare su dei pali di fondazione, inci-dendo notevolmente sui co-sti di costruzione. Si è pensa-to quindi di realizzare questa porzione di edificio con una struttura in acciaio molto più leggera, in grado di reggersi su una fondazione superfi-ciale a platea, ottenendo al contempo un risultato este-tico con caratteristiche di grande trasparenza e moder-nità. Sulla porzione di edificio destinata alla produzione e realizzata con struttura in ce-mento armato precompresso si è optato per un rivestimen-to con pannello sandwich in metallo ondulato e preverni-ciato, capace di uniformare la chiave di lettura estetica complessiva dell’edificio, pur mantenendo leggibili le diverse funzioni e le relative compenetrazioni.

The choice of a structure made in steel and pre-stres-sed concrete was made af-ter evaluations of geological and static type. These eva-luations brought to the con-clusions that if the three-sto-reys built above ground were made in reinforced concrete, they would have required the support of foundation poles, thus increasing the building costs remarkably. Therefore we thought to build this part of the building with a much lighter steel structure, able to stand on a concrete bed foundation, thus obtaining at the same time, an aesthetic result with transparent and modern characteristics. We chose a finish with sandwich panel in corrugated, pre-var-nished metal for the portion of building destined to pro-duction and made with pre-stressed reinforced concrete structure, able to harmonize the overall aesthetics of the building, but also able to di-stinguish the various functions and relations.

STRUCTURAL CHOICE

La complessità del progetto e la necessità di garantire alla Committenza il rispetto del budget economico sta-bilito ha reso indispensabile un intenso lavoro di gestione e controllo durante tutte le sue fasi. Inoltre, la decisione di suddividere la realizzazione dei lavori in 32 diversi appalti ha richiesto un grande sforzo di coordinamento da parte di tutti. Perciò è stato deciso di completare l’intera fase di progettazione esecutiva e di preventivazione (architet-tonico, strutture, impianti e finiture) prima dell’inizio dei lavori, in modo da contenere gli imprevisti legati alle intera-zioni fra le varie lavorazioni e da avere un quadro preciso dei costi.È stato predisposto un pro-gramma temporale delle di-verse fasi lavorative allegato a ciascun contratto d’ap-palto e durante l’esecuzione dei lavori si è tenuta ogni 15 giorni una riunione di verifica e programmazione con tutti i tecnici e le aziende coinvol-te. Tutto ciò ha permesso di completare i lavori in 15 mesi e di contenere i costi impre-visti all’interno del 5%.

BUDGET E TEMPI BUDGET AND TIMES

The complexity of the design and the need to ensure the Client that the budget esta-blished would have been respected, brought us to an intense management and control activity during all the phases. In addition, a tre-mendous coordination effort was made by everybody due to the decision to subdivide the works into 32 different sub-contracts. Therefore we decided to complete the entire executive design and estimate phase (architec-ture, structures, systems and finishes) prior to begin the works in order to contain unexpected events linked to the interactions between the various works and to dispo-se of a detailed estimate of costs. A temporal schedule was prepared for the various work phases and annexed to each bid contract and a meeting was held every 15 days during the execution of the works with all technicians and firms involved for evalua-tion and programming pur-poses. All of this has allowed us to complete the works in 15 months and contain unfo-reseen costs within 5%.

IMPIANTI ELETTRICI

L’impianto elettrico è la rete di distribuzione dell’energia elettrica, la linfa vitale che dona vitalità a tutti i moder-ni edifici. L’impianto è stato dimensionato in modo da ridurre al minimo gli sprechi di energia, maggiorando ad esempio la sezione dei cavi o utilizzando apparecchi il-luminanti fluorescenti equi-paggiati con alimentatori elettronici a basso consumo. La struttura è alimentata in bassa tensione dalla cabina dell’AIM posta sul confine di proprietà. L’impianto è stato dimensionato per un poten-za di 250 kW, in previsione di future integrazioni. La distribu-zione elettrica prende origine dal quadro elettrico genera-le posto nel magazzino, che alimenta in maniera radiale i quadri piano e zona. La di-stribuzione elettrica e degli impianti a correnti deboli è realizzata all’interno del con-trosoffitto tramite passerelle in rete di acciaio zincato.Ogni posto-lavoro degli uffici

è servito da una serie di pre-se di energia e dati/telefonia poste su piantane derivate dal soffitto o su torrette a pa-vimento.L’illuminazione degli uffici è realizzata con apparecchi illuminanti fluorescenti con alimentatore elettronico a basso consumo e con ottica adatta per ambienti con uso di videoterminali. Nelle sale convegni gli apparecchi illu-minanti sono dotati di regola-zione luminosa. L’illuminazio-ne di emergenza è assicurata da un gruppo soccorritore e ad apparecchi illuminanti dedicati allo scopo. Il locale CED oltre che da gruppi di continuità on-line è alimenta-to da un gruppo elettrogeno ad inserimento automatico dedicato esclusivamente a tale servizio.L’automazione di finestre, co-mandi luci delle zone comu-ni, lucernari e la regolazione della climatizzazione, sono gestiti da un sistema di buil-ding automation.

ELECTRIC SYSTEMS

The electric system is the di-stribution network of electric power, which gives life to all modern buildings. The system was sized so as to reduce energy waste to the mini-mum, increasing for example the section of cables or using fluorescent, illuminating devi-ces equipped with electronic feeders of low consumption. The structure is fed with low voltage from the AIM’s ca-bin located on the property boundary. The system was sized for a power of 250 kW, in view of future integrations. The electric distribution ori-ginates from the general electric panel located in the warehouse, which radially feeds floor and area panels. The electric distribution and the distribution of low voltage systems are envisaged inside the false ceiling through pla-tforms made in galvanised steel mesh.Each work station inside the offices is served by a series of power and data/telephone

sockets located on uprights obtained from the ceiling or on floor towers. The office illumination is reali-zed with fluorescent illumina-ting devices with electronic feeder of low consumption and with optics suitable for environments using video-terminals. In the convention rooms, the illuminating devi-ces are equipped with light regulation. The emergency illumination is guaranteed by an emergency group and illuminating devices envisa-ged for the purpose. The CED room is fed by online conti-nuity groups and also by a generator engaged automa-tically, exclusively envisaged for such service.The automation of windows, light commands of the com-mon areas, skylights, air con-ditioning, etc. is managed by a building automation system.

Summania Beton is among the first Firms of Veneto that applied the pre-compression technique to cement ele-ments, even if of small dimen-sions or limited series. It consi-sts in the new Prefabrication, which establishes a stronger connection between Client, Manufacturer and Designer in order to attain a beneficial re-sult for everybody. Menon ha progettato e rea-lizzato la struttura metallica principale dell’edificio e la struttura di facciata della pa-lazzina uffici.Il lavoro di progettazione è stato sviluppato dal nostro uf-ficio tecnico in sintonia con lo studio di architettura. Menon è riusciuta a trasferire l’idea architettonica in una struttura rispettando i canoni estetici dell’opera. La costruzione è stata seguita in tutte le suc-cessive fasi, dallo svilupppo in officina fino al montaggio in cantiere, al fine di ottenere il miglior risultato nel tempo prefissato.

Menon designed and built the main metal structure of the building and the facade structure of the office buil-ding.The design work was develo-ped by our technical office together with the architec-tural office. Menon was able to transfer the architectural idea into a structure, in com-pliance with the aesthetic rules of the work. The con-struction was followed in all subsequent phases, from de-velopment in the workshop to assembly in the yard, in order to attain the best result within the established time.

Faram, azienda specializzata nella produzione di arredi e pareti per l’ufficio, ha saputo proporsi sempre più come un consulente specializzato nel settore degli interni piuttosto che come semplice fornitore. Questa strategia orientata ad un programma di inter-vento globale ha permesso a Faram di affiancare alcuni dei più importanti architetti contemporanei nella realiz-zazione di opere prestigiose, dal momento della loro pro-gettazione fino alla costruzio-ne, fornendo una consulenza professionale integrata. Per la sede del Gruppo Sicura sono state utilizzate scrivanie della serie Cartesio, conteni-tori Inbox, tavoli riunione della serie Aplomb e pareti della serie P600.

La parete P600 ribalta la concezione tradizionale del-le partizioni mobili interne. Al posto della tradizionale strut-tura a telaio con montanti e traversi in acciaio, a cui ag-ganciare i pannelli di tam-ponamento, ciechi o traspa-renti, la P600 si basa su una struttura portante in estrusi di alluminio, fissati a soffitto e pavimento, che tengono una lastra in vetro o un pan-nello cieco in legno o rivesti-to in melaminico. L’assenza di montanti verticali, sostituiti da giunti a secco in policar-bonato collocati tra vetro e vetro, permette di raggiun-gere livelli di trasparenza non ottenibili con i sistemi tradizio-nali, senza compromettere la resistenza meccanica dell’in-sieme.

Faram is a company that specializes in the manufac-ture of office furniture and partitions. It has learnt to pro-pose itself also as a specialist interiors consultant instead of just a supplier. This strategy, aimed at intervening widely throughout a project, has enabled Faram to work with some of the most important contemporary architects on prestigious projects, from the initial design stages to con-struction, giving a complete professional consultancy. In the project for Sicura Group Faram supplied Cartesio de-sking, with Inbox cabinets, meeting tables from Aplomb system, and P600 partitions.

The P600 wall overturns the traditional concept of interior movable partitions. Instead of a traditional structure con-sisting of steel uprights and crossbars, to which the infill panels – solid or glazed – are attached, P600 uses a load-bearing structure made of extruded aluminium profiles, fastened to the ceiling and the floor, that hold glass pa-nels or solid panels in either wood veneer or melamine. The absence of vertical posts, replaced by polycarbonate dry joints between glass pa-nels, makes it possible to rea-ch a degree of transparency unattainable with traditional systems, without affecting the overall mechanical resistan-ce.
