Tax Digest: We are delighted to announce that this month’s edition focuses on the Patent Box rules. There has been a lot of coverage in the national press, especially around the time of the Budget, about these rules that offer a tax break for companies to cut the amount of corporation tax they pay on profits generated from UK-owned intellectual property. But nothing has yet covered the subject (in print) to the level of details included in this month’s Tax Digest, which also includes several pages of worked examples, pro formas, etc. This issue has been written by a team set up by Francis Clark LLP and comprising Helen Lewis, Erin Davis, Stuart Rogers, Clive Townsend, John Endacott and Damian Lannon, Innovation and Tax Technology Group. Clarke Hall & Morrison on Children relaunch: We’ve just re-launched this title with a complete restructure in layout and substantially re-written commentary. The author team has a new General Editor - Alistair MacDonald QC, of Inner Temple. The revisions include: • Substantially revised sections on Cardinal Principles and Jurisdiction, Private Law Children Act Proceedings, Financial Provision for Children, Family Protection, International Child Abduction, Children in Need, Emergency Protection, Public Law Children Act Proceedings, Adoption and Practice and Procedure. • Comprehensive coverage of the Modernisation of Family Justice Programme. • Substantial revisions to Education and Care Standards to follow in line with forthcoming legislative changes.
