Lake Tahoe is the home to many major events all year long, American Century Golf Championship, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Seniors All Mountain adventure camp at Sugar Bowl, Hot August Nights, a car enthusiasts dream. Many biking events are held throughout the year, the Amgen Tour, Pro Gravity Race Tour, and for the leisure riders there are plenty of 1/4, 1/2, and full trips around the 72 mile lakeshore. In the winter there is world class skiing at Northstar at Tahoe, Squaw Valley, Heavenly, Sierra at Tahoe, and Kirkwood, just to mention a few of the popular spots.
Harvey’s Casino has its Outdoor Summer Concert Series where many top name entertainers perform during the summer. They also sponsor the famous World Series of Poker satellite event in November where poker players and poker greats converge to do battle for hundreds of thousands of dollars in prize money.
