The attending practitioner should be able to have a better understanding of multiple topics and subjects discussed during the 18 hours of continuing medical education classes with improvement in current knowledge and applications of treatment techniques for conditions involving the lower extremities.

• To acquire a better appreciation for the spectrum of dermatological conditions and their various clinical manifestations.

• To better understand current treatment options for the management of pathological equinus and

peroneal tendon conditions and the comparison of current treatments. • To improve the recognition of complicated running injuries, including heel pain, and to review the current recommendations for treatments of these conditions. • To review current trends and treatment protocols for conditions such as sesamoid bone injuries and

other injuries in athletes. • To learn specific techniques for recognition, evaluation and management, including current medical

and surgical treatment of pediatric flatfoot and ankle impingement syndrome. • To provide additional understanding of pes cavus foot deformity and options for the treatment of these problems.

• To better understand what information is gained by each principal biopsy technique and when each is

best applied. • To review current philosophy of Vitamin D and its clinical applications and the use of advanced

radiology imaging modalities and fluoroscopy safety in today’s medical practice. • To discuss the diagnosis of onychomycosis utilizing evidence based medicine (EBM).To learn updated
