-Insurance for Design companies and Building surveylance executors is compulsory, but control is weak

-80 percent of Public Procurement still is on minimal cost base

Attestation of Project and Construction Managers andTeritorial Planing Specialists in Lituania

There is a new Building Technical Regulation STR 1.02.06:2012,which provides rulles how it shall be done in Lithuania.

Commission of attestation consists of 8 Engineering professionals:Chairman – Head of division of the Ministry of Environment;Members including representatives of Lithuanian Association ofConsulting Companies, two technical universities, Chairman ofLithuanian Union of Civil Engineers, Design Expertise Company,Before the Meeting of the Commission every pretendent to beattested shall pass exams at 11 commissions, established inProfessional unions and associations and to pass specialexamination relating Lithuanian Building legal acts at theSertification Centre of Building Products.
