Schultz Greenhouse and Perennial farm originally started out as Schultz Farm in Colonie. From 1940’s - 1960’s Schultz Farm grew large quantities of vegetables for the wholesale market. In the mid-sixties Albany County expanded the airport and took our farm through emanate domain. In 1968 we moved to Glenville and started selling fresh produce and pansies to the public at our farm stand. We began selling more and more fl owers and stopped growing vegetables in 1986 and focused on only fl owering plants. In 1998 we expanded our retail garden center from 5,000 sq. ft. of selling space to over 20,000 sq. ft.

Today Schultz Greenhouse uses over 40,000 sq. ft. of greenhouse growing space to produce high quality annuals, perennials, vegetable plants and herbs for the retail market. We grow the largest selection of vegetable plants in the area, selling more than 15,000 tomato plants each year for the home gardener. And because of our farming back-ground, we know which vegetable varieties are best for this area and have the knowledge to ensure that your gardening experience is a successful one.

Growing our own plants gives us the ability to keep current with the latest plant varieties. Caregiver Support GroupBALLSTON SPA – Evergreen Adult Day Services, 357 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa, an affi liation of The Wesley Community in Saratoga Springs, hosts a Caregiver Support Group the last Tuesday of each month from 3-4pm. This group is designed for caregivers, families and friends of people with dementia. The group offers participants a chance to meet others in similar situations, share stories of successes and challenges, exchange tips and ideas and learn more about daily care-giving issues. Sports Squirts CampMALTA – Registration for the US Sports Institute (USSI) Sum-mer Sports Squirts Camp is now being accepted. The camp will run from Monday, August 22 through Friday, August 26th.
